I dunno brother. Under this coach, we're 1-2 vs UF, 1-1 vs MSU, and 0-3 vs Bama, haven't even shown a pulse in that series. And we lost for the first time to A&M.

And while not a division loss, the Troy loss did as much to damage the LSU brand as any game of the past 20 years

Florida was bad in those years. Arkansas and Ole Miss weren't a ton better. 2-7 is abysmal against those teams. A&M was very senior heavy in their front 7 last year and at RB - the strength of that team. LSU had almost no offensive firepower. Brossette was not a home run threat. The WRs really weren't either. Neither Jefferson or Chase had a collegiate catch going into the season and the trio of Miles' backup WRs had something like 27 career catches between them all.

2017 was bad; I'll never back down from that. But in 2018 LSU overachieved with what they had to work with.

The Tigers went 2-7 against Ole Miss, Arkansas and Alabama over the previous three seasons

Over the previous three seasons O is 3-6 against Alabama, Florida and Texas A&M.

Sheesh, well when you put it like that I'm surprised we won any games under Miles. We were god awful.

1/9/12 and all the Bama losses since have hurt this program more than any other games. You are losing recruiting battles to that team because they can keep saying you go there and we will just beat you. Troy was bad don’t get me wrong but no one outside of LSU fans looking to point out Coach O’s flaws really talks about it anymore. Nationally It keeps going to can they beat Bama and take the next step. Until you beat Bama those games will be the biggest thorn in lsu’s side not only in November but in February when you really need to be beating them to take that next step.

I don't know about that friend.

At the end of the day, a 2018 10-3 record and 3rd place in the SEC West gets you the same thing as a 2012 or 2013 10-3 record and 3rd place in the SEC West.

And that's not where we want to be.

Basically we are still in the golden years of LSU football. Anyone thinking otherwise either is too young, or just plain delusional.

I think you guys forget just how bad things were trending downwards.

Man, horrible.

What the hell was anyone in the media thinking having us rated in the playoff rankings going into the Bama game in 2015? They must've been out of their minds.

This us correct.

We aren't losing recruits because of Troy, we are because of Bama.

It's obvious they were out of their minds when LSU went on a three-game losing streak, wouldn't you say?

Not bothered at all. Just making sure. Sorry if it came across that way.

And yes, this is still the golden age of LSU football with an oppurtunity to really turn this thing into something special.

Well damn, you're right. That is an improvement.

Break out another extension for the defensive line coach.

It's sad that the measuring stick of O's tenure thus far are the seasons that got Les fired.

It is an improvement when you're talking about that record versus some of the best teams in the SEC versus 2-7 against some of the bottom of the SEC.
