Not only did we beat them, we destroyed them. Seems pretty hard to believe looking at current form of both teams.

At the same time, it's encouraging to see what we're capable of provided the coaches and players show up.

Maybe the coaches didn't show up vs Auburn and the players did?

Well it actually kind of pisses you off to know that we have the ability to beat the shite out of a decent Auburn team but unfortunately every other game proves that our team has not been utilized like it should be.

You can make the argument, but they did not practice the entire 2 weeks. And the bye week is usually pretty lax.

We were beating Alabama too until our QB and RB went down.

I think the ability has been there the whole time. And I say that without necessarily placing blame anywhere. It reminds me of a powerful but improperly tuned engine that runs strong in spurts but also chokes up.

Some of you people are just looking way to hard to find negative things to talk about. We beat Auburn because we are better then them and played a better game.

With this line of thinking how did we beat UW

Auburn wasn't the same team when LSU played them that they are now. Auburn was on a long losing streak and the wheels were starting to fall off when they came into Tiger Stadium, and we were able to kill any hope they had early. They figured something out in the weeks after that, and they're playing much better now.

Because when we are healthy, even with our flaws, we are a better team than Auburn. With a non gimpy JJ, we probably beat Ole Miss this past weekend.

Let's not pretend LSU lost by 2 TDs on the road this past weekend, even if the result was quite ugly.

Very true. There is a long history of close games and upsets in rivalry games.

As I recall Auburn fell apart in its game against LSU--penalties and other errors.

Auburn has improved since we played them. We haven't.
