It would be hard for me to continue being a LSU fan. I have absolutely no desire to watch us play anyone in the Big 12 year in and year out. The ACC would be a little better then the Big12 but frick that. I love being in the SEC

LSU is SEC.
Both would be diminished without the status of the other.

So the logic is that its okay if we get screwed by the SEC refs and scheduling every year as long as we get paid?
who says it has to be an existing conference?

I think you got your answer, so far 180 downvotes "i was one" to 20 upvotes. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that ain't a popular idea!

LSU is NOT the SEC.
LSU is a much bigger brand and generates more valuable media than the SEC. LSU would not be diminished outside of the SEC.
....Ohio State, Michigan, USC, Oregon, Florida State are examples of brand which are much more valuable to their conferences than their conferences are to them.

I would really, really hate to see LSU leave the SEC. However, enough is enough!
I am fed up with the cross division permanent rivals. LSU gets Florida and Alabama gets Tennessee.
They need to move the SEC offices to Atlanta and get them out of Alabama.
I am fed up with the disrespect shown by the SEC Commissioner recently. I expected it from Florida but the Commissioner has been most unprofessional.
LSU and Alabama are the two biggest draws in the SEC and we need to be treated accordingly!

The only way this could work is for some very important people to secretly contact 12-16 schools to gauge their interest in starting an entirely new "super" conference, leaving out such "cheaters" as bama, auburn, a&m,etc.
West:
Texas, Oklahoma, Okie Lite, LSU, Tulane, Ole Miss, MSU, Tennessee.
East:
Vandy, UGA, Georgia Tech, USC, Florida, FSU, VT, WV.

I agree with ATL Tiger...the SEC has never really respected LSU since I can remember...because LSU never demanded it...poor leadership and negotiations...

May not be popular, but; in a few more years when the SEC media machine finishes with LSU, we'll be talking about "the good ole days" when top athletes wanted to attend LSU and not go to Alabama and Florida.
The SEC PR department is working against LSU and diminishing the school's reputation. We will continue to decline in statue if Sankey is not removed.

I'm an LSU fan. I don't pull for any other team. I have no loyalty to any conference. The Bama bias is too real to deny. I wouldn't care if we left at all. We clearly have no say in anything in the SEC.
the big 12 is a clusterfrick of a conferancxe. Could Start a new conference, the All South Conference. The new ASC, a balanced highly competitive conference composed of teams dissatisfied with their current situation:
Texas Longhorns, Oklahoma Sooners, Kansas St Wildcats may be ready for a real conference.
Bring in the S Florida Bulls (a larger college than either Fla St or Florida U), Memphis Tigers, and maybe Southern Miss (unless Mississippi St wants in) for balance (can't have all top level teams).
Auburn would probably like to get away from Alabama.
Arkansas would be a good fit.
Bring in Arizona St., W Virgina (or Virgina Cavaliers or Maryland) and Notre Dame (probably ready for a great conference by now) for more national appeal.
that would be:
LSU
Texas
Kansas St
Oklahoma Sooners
Memphis Tigers
S Florida Bulls
Mississippi St
Notre Dame
Arizona St
Maryland Terrapins
Virgina Cavaliers
Arkansas
Auburn
North Carolina
For the 14 team All South Conference ( the ASC)
Chants of: A S C raining down from the upper decks of the stadiums. A conference of great pride.
If the specific teams are unavailable others like them would jump at the chance to play in the ASC
frick the SEC and it's Bama run mafia

How this topic legitimately enters someone's mind is beyond me.
Then to think "Hey, this might be a possibility. I'm going to post a thread about it." is fricking mind boggling to me.

If LSU was to join a newly formed super conference, I'd be all for it.

as do I. But what if we had a conference just as good but based on fairness and respect for all its members?
