this is a funny question.....
Why wouldnt anyone be allowed to sit in the student section when students dont fill all the seats? Unless its a night game against Florida.....1/2 of the crowd leaves by halftime.
Piss on anyone that says only students can sit in a particular section.....us old folks just want butts in the seats. If you "students" filled it up and stayed the whole time....your demand for season/game tickets would stop anyone from getting tix that werent students.

I'd say 27 is the max age to sit in the student section

I'm 40 years old and I also sit in the studet section when the opportunity presents itself. It is a whole helluva lot more fun sitting there.

I'm 42 and I would give up any seat in the stadium to sit in the student section. I do it regularly and love it.
Awesome.

After you get a life and make some mature relationships. Until then, the kiddy section is all yours.

If you're not a student I think you should probably be sitting somewhere else. I've got nothing against it...just think its good for everyone to move on eventually.
Don't let Coco hear you say that.

My time has passed. I'll let the youngens take up the cause of being loud and obnoxious.
BTW, if you are a student then you can be in the student section at any age. If you aren't a student, then I'd suggest getting out of there by the age of 25. The rest of the stadium isn't as lame as some of these retards make it out ot be.

Ive got an older brother who is 40 and sits in the student section nearly every game.
Ive got an older brother that thinks that 40 year olds in the student section are pedophilial in nature.

I wouldn't go that far, but I'd say there's a serious lack of maturity in a 40 year old enjoying the student section more than any other place in the stadium.

Why? Because we like to be enthusiastic? Are you one of those rich TAF guys who sit in the West Side seatbacks and golf clap when LSU scores? Maybe in a suite drinking white wine and eating a nice baked brie, hoping to see and be seen by the, ahem, elite of BR and S. La.? Or maybe you sit in the SEZ and get fricking tanked with all of the other longtimers there. Who knows, and I don't care.
Who cares where you sit. Just don't sit on your hands, and don't be a nuisance to others around you.

why ask such a question??

I say there is no age limit, just as long as you bring your "A" game. If you cant stand most of the time and yell your butt off, then I think it is time to move on. Otherwise, squeeze in buddy.
There are a lot of students that want to get into the game on gameday but cannot, due to all the limitations put on buying and trading and upgrading tickets and so forth. If they would go back to the time where any student ticket would work with any valid student ID, then the turnout problem would be solved. There are plenty of season ticket holders that cannot make it to certain games, but dont they make certain that somebody uses the tickets when they cant go? Of course, and they are free to make this happen without silly restrictions.
The student section is not doing as well as in the past. I think this is due to restrictions and rules on the students. If you hog tie the kids how are they gonna do their part?

Disagreed.
A man will never lose respect or "maturity" points for wanting to do an LSU game the right way. At least not in my book.
Dear 40 year old man, where ever you are...
Keep on man!

lol, nope. I'm enthusiastic. Why would you assume I'm not?

I fricking wish I had that type of money. Do they serve brie in the suites or do you have to bring your own?

I guess I just think I'm fun without having to stand up for 3 hours. I usually just stand up during important parts of the game or win we do something spectacular on the field (just like any other fan). I guess I just have fun among my peers and not college kids. I say let them have fun throwing their cups of bourbon and coke. My dates usually don't like to be soaked at the end of the night and I usually don't want to subject them or my daughter to profanity they are sure to hear.
I guess I've just learned to have fun at LSU games with an older crowd and I'm only 31. I doubt I'd ever want to be in the student section when I'm 40+.
Anyway, party on buddy.
