lsuontop is right. Thats not what we do, we will run our pro-style offense with our young QB win or lose. AJ will be expected to sit in the pocket and throw the ball accurately with correct reads. He will grade out based on this one thing. If he has any success at all throwing the ball, he will be difficult to handle. Iowa will have their hands full just dealing with the receivers and Hill/Magee. Jennings should have a big game. MVP

cannot afford to have your #1 QB come up lame from running the ball too much.
Yep, just look what happened to Mett.

Actually, if you want go get technical, I think that's what hurt Mettenberger there. Because he's not very mobile at all, when he get sacked, it's like he's getting hit by a freight train. But....because Jennings is still looking to pass first, that mobility really comes in handy when a defender is bearing down on him. He can sort of move just enough out of the way where he can avoid the hit. This helps because he's not running around like a RB, he just smartly scrambles. I hate to make this comparison so early, but he reminds me so much of Russell Wilson. In Mettenberger's case, he's not getting out of the way at all and just gets smashed head on.

Indeed, think JJ ran a 4.7 or just under that with a hitch in his stride.

Even if JJ was faster, Jenns decisiveness when to cut up makes him much more of a threat on the ru

Naw, JJ came in his senior year running a 4.6 and he was more of a straight line runner. A long strider. Jennings almost runs like a runningback, like you will notice with the best of dual threats. I'd say his game is more like a college Russell Wilson.

. AJ on the other hand is supremely quick, which is far more beneficial for a QB.

Very accurate from what we have seen so far. He appears to move very light on his feet. In this way he is similar to someone I won't mention because everyone will think I am insane

I was sarcastically replying.
I don't have the stats, but it doesn't seem like mobile QBs suffer any more seriousl injuries than the statues.
