The guy had incredible pipes and could be heard throughout the stadium in pre-game chanting "Tiger Bait" and "Goooooo Tigers".

I can remember him sitting in south upper. He was sort of the "Chris Guillot of LSU football" in the '70's and 80's.

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and old lang syne ?

Could he get the whole place going by yelling Tiger Bait louder and faster! He used to get standing ovations in the Assembly Center

Is Chris Guillot a modern version of Big Red?

I sat next to him once in the Pmac. I was surprised how calculating he was. He told me it was important to pick the right times. sometimes it was to get the crowd going, sometimes to irritate the opposition, but never ever wear out my welcome by annoying our own fans. To Big Red

Unbelievable set of pipes. His tiger bait could rock the Assembly Center.

Is he still alive? If so, they should introduce him before a basketball game

Goose, are you referring to Big Red or the HC guy?

I remember it. I remember looking around for a few minutes trying to figure out where he was because he seemed to be able to throw his voice! He wasnt a big guy, but when he stood at his seat in the stadium with his hands cupped around his mouth, he projected! No profanity either.

Who is the HC guy?

I just remember an iconic guy known among Tiger faithful as Big Red. His voice carried throughout the stadium (especially the PMAC) and it was as if he didn't even breathe while doing his thing. He would do his pregame chant nonstop for a few minutes and would get an ovation by surrounding fans.
