Kick out Alleva and kick Miles upstairs to be AD?

Everyone knows that Miles is not a good Xs and Os coach. However, he does have a good management style and ability as a big picture guy. He is likable and engaging. I could see him doing some great things for LSU athletics and raising some big money.

He is above all else a big personality.

I actually thought this might be a good idea at one time, but after seeing Miles's loyalty to a boob like Peveto, I don't think he's the man for the job. That being said, if it would send Alleva's worthless arse packing, I might be able to live with it for a while.

Umm, frick no.

Alleva has made some outstanding hires (Torina, the the Sell's), he's given our coaches all the resources to win, we've built some beautiful facilities under his watch (Looking at you, Skip, for the west side expansion), kept us out of trouble, and the athletic program top to bottom has never been this strong.

I'm cheering for Les, but in no way, shape, or form has he shown me any ability to accomplish what Joe Alleva has.

Outside of the Trent Johnson hire, I don't know what Alleva has screwed up on. you can talk about les miles' buyout, but why not point the finger at les for holding the program hostage? We can praise Les Miles all day for being such a class act, but that was bush league what he did to us when Jeff Long bluffed an offer.

Yea, like the Tiger Stadium bathrooms which resemble something from a Turkish prison.

Exactly. I have no reason to believe Les would position LSU's athletic department to have 10 programs ranked in the top 10 in the spring with more on the way.

How do we even know what the big money people think of him? Fundraising has been stronger than ever under Alleva, so they at least respect his opinion. For all we know they think les can barely dress himself in the morning.

Was Alleva the AD in the 1930's?

Then the bathrooms weren't built under him.

People hate him in charge of the football team. Why would you put him over all sports at LSU?

I had no idea LSU just renovated the stadium bathrooms to resemble a turkish prison. You do know we've been fundraising for lower bowl renovations, right?

But yeah, okay, let's blame Alleva for our prehistoric bathrooms. Pretty textbook tigerdroppings if I've ever seen it.

People seem to overwhelmingly hate Alleva.

So I was just wondering if the LSU community felt about Les Miles like they did about Skip Bertman.

Perhaps not.

Why not make Les Miles CEO of General Electric? And Alleva secretary of state? And since we are in imaginationland, I'd like to be a consultant for Playboy.

On tigerdroppings, it's probably split down the middle. In real life and from first hand friends and family that give a lot to LSU, it's not the case at all. That's because most rational people can see the athletic department has come a long ways under him.

I like Skip Bertman as a person and of course as a coach, but he wasn't even a good athletic director. I'm not sure why we'd try something that didn't work then now with a guy I highly doubt is smarter than Skip Betman.

Good lord no.

Why would we want someone with a proven inability to hire coaching talent as AD?
