Are you saying you don't approve of Orgeron?

Lets start there.

I judge based on the entire season, like always.

My mind doesn't change game to game. I know I'm weird like that though. I thought the season lasted until January for a reason.

Methinks you're projecting from the bigotry of low expectations you have for Coach O.

I generally go by the state of the program. I wasn't hip on his hiring but he's made some very good moves to shore up the team, and seems to have everything moving in the right direction.

My mind can change, because everyone should have an open mind concerning the here and now.

If you're always judging based on some mythical point in the future, you'll never enjoy the moment.

There should be no "won over" for Oregeron. There should be no anti Orgeron sentiment at the present time either.

It reeks of desperation. I don't know what the urgency is. I thought there was an entire season to be played.

It's almost like they feel he can't keep it up so he has to get all the praise in right now. It's no takey-backsies at that point I guess.

You're telling people how to think now?

This is such a misleading narrative. I don't know about you specifically but there was an overwhelming amount of posters here who were of the opinion Orgeron was not capable and made that opinion very clear over and over. Now, that opinion has at least for the time being been shown to be false, so people are going to call it out. If all summer a dozen posters had been arguing that the world would end on September 15th, then the title of this thread would be "are you sold the world isn't going to end?" If you don't understand this is the nature of message boards I'm not sure what to tell you.

WTF?

If you've already made up your mind about the HC and program, you're an idiot.

You can think however you choose.

Nope. No matter how much you try to make it that way, I'm not. I do love that it bothers you and many others though. p&g was telling people to die after the game. Classic.

I generally do, or try to but that doesn’t change the fact that much of the “positive” stuff Ree posts is propaganda.

t's weird, this non acceptance of the HC is happening on a larger level in the political realm and it's fascinating. If people don't get their way...

What’s also fascinating is that you (and many others) believe narratives like this exist only on 1 side. Though I agree there are similarities in the structure of debates which makes me think it’s more a product of this internet/social media culture than anything else. This type of forum leads to people becoming entrenched and unable to see or appreciate nuance or marginal differences.

My “non acceptance” of the coach ithat I don’t think he’s capable of getting the program to the level of consistent contender that’s been proven LSU is capable of. We were and elite program under Dietzel in the late 50s early 60s and again with Saban and for a time Miles from 2001-2012.

Correct. Hell, I can't imagine how overloaded the board would have been with "I told you so" had LSU lost to Auburn.

At worst, it would equal all the the "I told you sos" from the cheeri0s after 3 games.

Who says I've already made up my mind?

I said I judge a coach by the season, not by how good a quarter they just had. We're 3 games in and because I'm not sucking him off quite yet my mind is made up?

Believe me, if LSU trips up a lot of these guys that support him right now will turn on him at the drop of a hat. You prefer that type of flimsy support?
