uh, no one includes bowl games in their W/L predictions
Are you OK, today?

So, if you say 3 loss minimum, do you say "except for bowl game?
"
No, you don't.
10-3 is a reasonable minimum for next season.

Yes, I do
Because I am assuming those 3 losses were in SEC play, and that is not acceptable

quote:And for over a decade, nobody ever cared who Bama's defensive coordinator was. Because it was actually Saban, and until 2018 or so, Alabama would beat a team XX to 3, or something along those lines. Wasn't until he got Tua in, that he took the leash off the offense, and the defense coincidentally(?) fell off.quote:
Orgeron has basically made two good hires in 4 years. He's had to fire, reassign or get help for 6 hires after only 1 season. It's absolutely a fair question. If he has to do again after this year, what kind of confidence do you have that he will be successful in the next hires?
lol...have you ever seen Bama's turnover year-to-year?
And now at this point, nobody cares about the other coaches on staff, because he's got 5-star players 3 deep at every position except maybe kicker. They have a program that could probably go 10-2 minimum, if you simply called the game plays with an XBox.
Orgeron doesn't have that built-in advantage.

Canada was the best when he hired him. He just landed the offensive coordinator job for the steelers
And,he was interviewed. Pelini wasnt, that's it as far as we know. I dont agree with it ,but I think o just thought he knew what he was getting in pelini. I think it was a formal interview that he didn't do,I'm sure they spoke though.
I mean, pelini was a well known commodity with a history that will tell you what to expect,I'm sure o thought that anyway..
It was a mistake, but my god, nobody could imagine that he would be so difficult to approach by his players and that he wouldnt even install the zone d by week 1. He was a huge letdown that wasnt expected. He would be a safe option with a high floor ,ON PAPER. that was a huge mistake by o ,he wont do it again. I'll let one slide occasionally because of his on the field success in 2018 and 2019 ,he also turned around a season before that after a troy loss. He gets no more leash though.

Apparently you are one of these “fans” who blames Orgeron for everything but gives no credit for anything he has accomplished. Get a grip.
Nothing he said was unfair. You’re just one of those fans who can’t say anything remotely critical of O, even if it’s fair. And no he didn’t hire that entire staff... He didn’t hire the defensive coordinator, co-offensive coordinator or “one of the top coaches in the country such as Corey Raymond” from that championship team. Moron...
