TigerVoodoo bragging about saying we have no DL depth, then comparing it to 2 losses last year vs a game we led 33-3 is the funniest thing you'll read all morning.

I thought State just outplayed and outcoached us in that game. My comments were about the other game and as I said, I would rather shift the conversation away from why we lossed to how we learned from it and why that helps us win games now.

They did, but the hard facts are, whether you want to talk about Miss or Troy, is that both teams dominated time of possession. It's flat out dumb to compare games we lost to a game we led 33-3 in. They will never matchup.

If a closer grind it out game, say against AUB or AL or FL or whomever, and we only use 5 lineman, I'll take the L on that one.

Earl!! My dude!! How did I know you’d show up to defend that performance yet again.

Talking about MSU TOP is worth some chuckles as well.

Almost 8 minutes of that TOP was on their final two drives in the 4th quarter when they were already up by 30 and didn’t score on either drive.

MSU had two drives all night over four minutes long before the final drive when they mercy kneed us.

LSU D was on the field for 11 plays before MSU went on their first 65 yards TD drive which took 2:10 btw. They followed that up with two more consecutive scoring drives to go up 17-7 before halftime.

Then dropped three more straight scoring drives out of the locker room for 13 more points to go up 30-7 taking a total of 18 plays to do it, and the game was effectively over.

They added a TD for window dressing on their first drive in the 4th for the 30 spot.

But you go ahead laughing while excusing a completely awful game plan and unprepared team while we all see for ourselves what a good game plan and prepared team can do.

That was praise btw, O clearly had the team motivated and ready to play for this game unlike that one. The staff had a great game plan and the players were obviously fired up to go out there and execute it, again, unlike last year.

Uh, you mean like MSU dominated us from jump which skewed their TOP?

Who other than the 5 that played do you see getting significant, meaningful snaps in close games against AUB FL AL???

Shelvin and maybe Rosenthal??

Who spells the ends?

If I'm playing Devil's advocate, I would say that if the guys played as hard as they did vs Miami, Troy wouldn't have dominated the TOP.

I think that's where we are the leadership coming from for this season. It's the reason that I actually liked the players only meeting. I don't think players like Lawrence, Devin White and the other upper classmen are going to allow that to happen again. Would they have been the same leaders without the Troy loss? Perhaps, but IMO it's going to drive this team this year.

Yea, or the talent is better

Lawrence is fully healthy

Fehoko is eligible.

Logan has reshaped his body

and 3 guys that played heavy minutes who couldnt get drafted nor make an NFL roster weren't in the game.

The talent on Miami's team is at least that much better than Troy as well though. So, IMO that's a wash.

So the offense is getting some share of blame now?
Glad to see Arranda and his DL talent/depth pulled out from under the bus.
