I am not happy with the outcome... However, we're a year ahead of schedule. We will be fine, and the sun will rise again tomorrow.

You started strong, then proved you know absolutely nothing about football. All in two sentences.

Agree with Peej and the two 70+ fans. There are two dynamics here: the suckage of Monday night and the fact that LSU football is the best it's ever been. The two can exist side-by-side. Monday was an aberration. It happens. And the program should get better because of it.

Fans over forty have perspective for many reasons. Not saying we're better fans, just that we're better equipped to endure what just happened. LSU football will break your heart. We know that. But it's worth it. And that's what matters.

Duke, I have been to more tiger games at home and away than you will ever attend. I don"t use a wheelchair. You asked a question and I gave my reply. Is your opinion any better than mine? I think not. If you want to get rid of your tickets, let me know. Are they yours are did your company order them?

Fan since about '67 or '68. As far as the NC game, it was a letdown but it's college football so shlt like that can and will happen - even to the best of teams.

Duke, you da man!! This board is ridiculous the last few days! I have been a fan for 35 years and I'm proud of the team and what they've accomplished. It was a great year with a lot of memories that still make me smile :)

No team can win and play perfectly all the time, and please, I don't want to hear anyone come back with a statement about accepting mediocrity.

Can't wait til next year!

I have watched LSU football since Bert Jones and can tell you without a doubt this is the best team I had ever seen up till Monday night. Something happened prior to this game because the team that played Monday night was not even close to the team that played throughout this year. I have said since JJ got back on the team something went away. We seemed alot more organized on offense and the team seemed like a team. JJ to me was a virus on this team. JL was never the same once he got back on the team. I will never understand the loyalty CLM showed to a mediocre qb at best for the four years he was here. Good riddens JJ accountability and humility is something you better learn or you will be in for a rude awakening in the REAL world. His last three games as an LSU QB may be the worst performance I have ever seen a qb at LSU play. JL got us to 8-0 and may have had a bad night in Tuscaloosa but nothing compared to the debacle we watched Monday night. JL getting invited to the Hula bowl and JJ going nowhere is justice at its best and I have always thought JL had and NFL arm an obviously the pros want to see him play one more time, good luck JL you deserve a break and thank you for all the bs you endured here at LSU.

> 40 years, went to my first game with my Dad at 7. The last 11-12 years cumulatively have by far the best. I have always said if the team competes well and can't earn a W then I have no problem accepting losses as you can't win them all. There will be occasional snafus which can cause losses during hard fought contests, so be it.

Whatever was the issue with LSU on offense, the poor gameplan, execution and refusal to try different strategies, was terrible and shouldn't have happened from a coaching or players perspective. Putting myself in the defense's shoes would make it a very bitter pill to swallow, playing well and the offense getting steamrolled. In reality, the weakest position on the team, which was also the most important position on the team, bit this team in the behind yet again, that has to corrected through better coaching and players with better skills/aptitudes to play QB. I am still clueless why the OL played so poorly.

Yet another season that proves it can be harder to win the SEC title than a NC from the Bama perspective, totally different from LSU's perspective. Totally sucks to go 1-1 and come in number two losing the most important game of the season, but life isn't fair, either.

ETA - I really do feel bad for the players, they had a great run and will have great memories from 2011, it really is a shame they had to endure a gut wrenching end to the dream after all the hard work they put in.

I remember Billy Cannon's Halloween night run. I was about 9 or 10 that year. I will be 63 in March, so my LSU fan pedigree goes that far back. This has been for me maybe the most enjoyable LSU season ever (even tops 2003 MNC year). In spite of JJ's ineptitude and CLM'S fixation on him I managed to accept and appreciate both. Now Monday night is another story. It was like taking the best of everything and throwing into the garbage disposal. In time that pain and disappointment will ease and the best of this season will rise to the top again. But not just yet. Right now it's too raw. It hurts. And I'm ticked off at CLM and JJ for the mess we all saw. It astheir making.

My fan tenure is 58 yrs. I agree with these three, but God I wish I could understand what happened 1/9. My friends here in NW AR ask and I have no answer. In the large scheme it is unimportant, but at its status, it is a complete and utter loss of understanding on my part. My gut says, as in '59, rematches are a no win situation. I thought this was different, but no.

Peace to all Tiger fans, we'll be back!!!

since mid cholly mac days

no tougher loss than this one. Ever during that time.

But never was LSU in that position in the majority of those years so while it hurts, I prefer the current ways over the ways of the past

Something did happen to this team before that game. Offensively especially. I have refrained from saying things generally about Tiger players but at this point I do think JJ broke the O in half and created a fizzure. Look you can blame Miles all you want, but maybe he creates other problems by not sitting his arse, who knows.

Point being I am a Tiger, always will be and I will cherish the great SEC Championship season this team put together 13 and fricking Zero in 2011

just don't include 2012 cause I won't

Finally a decent thread to respond to. 60 yrs old & have been a tiger fan for as long as I can remember. Some random thoughts.
Miles should have played Lee but it wouldn't have mattered. We got our butts whipped in the trenches. Offensive line was horrible, penalties, missed assignments, etc. Drew Bree's couldn't have helped.
Miles is and will go down as the greatest coach in the history of LSU if the haters don't run him off.
Miles screws up sometimes. So does every other coach.
We won 13 games, 12 by double digits! That's a glass that's a lot more than half full.
We are already ranked preseason #1 in most polls
I think maybe Les & players read their press clippings, Pride comes Before the Fall. We will beat Bama next season
I understand the frustration and disappointment, but I just don't
Get the Hate. Guess the bandwagon ain't so big.
Sorry, been holding a lot in since Monday.

This started asking a question then went off on some ADD rant. I am confused.

PJ code. Been a fan for 40 years. Very hurt and disappointed right now.try not to bash the players , even JJ, but his play was abysmal.

I believe , and have believed for some time, that the way Miles runs a program is unsustainable, and eventually will run out of gas and implode. I don't really like the guy, and never have. In some ways he's a good coach, and other ways he sucks. He's an enigma, and somewhat unstable IMO.

I hope the program can overcome this.

I was hooked at the Sugar Bowl game against the Wyoming Cowboys once upon a time.

My complaint is great season that somehow began to show signs of Milesism and JJ ism against Georgia and the meltdown of the BCS game. The team just imploded on offense. Went to the game and wish I had watched it on tv. It was heartbreaking.

At times I have thought Les to be great at some things like recruiting and he has made some dumb decisions. But overall I thought this was all history and hes surrounded himself with a good staff. But the JJ ism this year I can't understand. Will I be watching the countdown clock until next year, and hope I wont be posting at this time any negativeisms.

Great year. Geaux tigers!
