Miles proves he can mould the team to do well even with less than perfect QB play.

i agree in part, Miles and staff did an above average job with two QB's the past 4 years, but you need a good QB down the stretch cause his running philosophy got stuffed last year when it counted most.

To put it in perspective, LSU has never had more than one 10 win season in a decade, until this recent run.
5 of 7 belong to Miles.
He owns LSU coaching.

This, but I can see us getting the opportunity to lure some great coaches when that time comes.

but we aren't quite dominant yet.

In the past decade we are 105-23 which ranks #2 among BCS schools.

We have 4 SEC titles which ranks #1 in the SEC.

We have played in 3 BCSCGs which ranks #1.

We have played in 5 BCS bowl games which probably puts us in the top 3 if you leave out the scandal ridden USC.

Those results seem pretty dang dominant to me for a decade.

It's not hard to become mediocre. Look at Florida after they lost their coach. LSU fans need to appreciate les miles more than they do.

Or we just have to be sure to not hire a rah rah dumbass like Mushchamp.

That's my only concern as well when Miles retires. I hope they really take a good look at a few guys. I would guess about 90% of football coaches would love to come coach at LSU. Just got to make the right choice.

Les will be here another 6 to 8 years. he won one in his first 7 years. we play in the toughest division of the toughest conference in America. Its not that farfetched to believe we may not win another national title in his tenure.
We just went undefeated with one of the toughest schedules in CFB history with no QB! We lost to a team that we already beat, and should have never been put in the title game.

It's not that farfetched to believe we can go undefeated again, and win another NC under Miles.

I'm not a big believer in QB play making a big difference in that game.
The same team that gave it all to barely beat UA prior, came out flat.
The LOS was lost, the pocket porous and not much could've been done throwing, other than the quick dinks he completed 65% of.

This is wrong. Landon for instance.

Les was a qb away from having 3 NCs IMO. I didn't see a team better than us these last 2 years.

The #1 deciding factor in that games final results.

We can't ignore the fact that the Bama guy did what he needed to do to move the chains and did it without making any serious mistakes...as did the whole Bama team.

What really strikes me about the list of ten (10) win seasons and the responsible coaches list is that in all of his years here Cholly Mac did not register one, not one.

that puts absolutely nothing into perspective. there are now 12 game seasons with a conference championship game. we would have probably had a few more 10 win seasons in the past if we played an extra 3 games
