How Long Do You Think It Will Take CPM To Find The Right Lineup?

This isn't a CPM bashing thread. This is a legit "take a guess" thread.

With CPM having to replace 8 or 9 hitters in the lineup, this year he is really going to earn his money, to say the least.

My early guesstimate is week 4 of the SEC schedule before we settle on a true lineup.

What you got?

he didn't find the right lineup until SEC play last year.

Rotate as many players into the lineup and field as possible. Good chance that everyone can get 2 at bats per game. Let the players earn it and decide it for you.

Agree.

How long you think that will take?

I honestly don't know if it will ever be "set". I fully expect the streaky ways of baseball to give more than one guy a start who doesn't start a majority of the season. And I think you could see that go on into the postseason in the SEC tournament.

yep.

Someone will undoubtedly go into a slump in May that will cause someone else to be inserted who doesn't usually play full time. Just gonna have to deal with it.

As long as he gets it right by May I'm good.

Yep.

And for me it's not so much about going 4-4

Don't make the mental mistakes.

If you are making mistakes and not hitting... it's time to ride the pine.

At least we won't have to worry about it once a week when Lange is throwing no-no's

I've seen Maneri make major changes in the regionals or even later. Stevenson's freshman year, he became a starter during he Super Regionals.

Not sure how long it will take, but he needs to get the lineup figured out during the aTm series because the Vandy series is 2 weeks later.

Everyone keeps saying how long it will take Maneri, but its more how long it will take some of these guys to seize their opportunity. With a team this young nothing is set in stone and I doubt it will be for a while.

Not really sure. The only player we know about extensively is Fraley.

Maybe some will pull ahead quick.
