Anyone who blames Mainieri for anything is a moron. He is the best coach in the country. He built this program up faster than anybody else could have possible imagined. Two SEC titles and a national title in three years. We will be on the upper half in the strongest conference in the nation this year in a "down year." Outside of pitching issues this team is fine. AR is injured and AR2 just isn't mentally there, although he pitched better today. With the recruits we have coming in again next year we will be a powerhouse for years.

No serious fan can be "throwing Mainieri under the bus". You can't make it to Omaha every year.

Don't fret............the Posi-tigers will save him!

Forget the records. Ask yourself some questions:
Do the players play their positions well, with polish, and effort?
Do the players visibly improve during the season and from season-to-season?
Does the coach make glaring mistakes in game calls/management?
Does the coach repeat glaring mistakes in game calls/management?
I don't get to watch baseball games very much, but for the few per year I catch, the answers for Paul are YES, YES, NO, NO. I see all the FB games and the answers are NO, NO, YES, YES.
Maybe someone who watched baseball a lot would give difference answers for Mainieri.

You can't judge all of LSU's baseball fans by this website... but I will. LSU has the MOST baseball fans in the country.
Gonna fix that one for you. Be thankful LSU has enough fans to actually notice whats going on with the program. Not a damn thing wrong with LSU football, basketball or baseball fans that do not occur with any other program. Its just the fricktards that are ignorant enough to believe there is. LSU fans are fine. They just have a forum to vent most don't have. LSU fans are fine.

A lot of people on here have already thrown him under a bus...
Didn't you know? Once you win a national championship EVERY single year afterwards not winning a national championship is grounds for dismisal

spoiled fanbase
Believe it or not, this board is not representative of LSU fans. It's a small fraction of our fanbase comprised of a growing number of immature kids.

WTF? No way there are more of them on this board than young kids.
ETA: Oh wait, you are one of those young kids so you had to take a shot.

no, i just find it amusing that you put the blame on young kids. I'm not even sure what you mean by that statement. There are plenty of old people who are fricking idiots and make appearances IRL and on this board.
There are definitely more adults on this board than "young kids". What constitutes a "young kid" anyway and what makes you believe that you are superior to them in intelligence?

Someone who argues this board is comprised of more adults.

PM built the team. He didn't start with a real good team and mismanage it.

The people who dislike Mainieri are the same people who yell balk at every pick off move.
