My office is business cas, so I don't have to wear suits and where did I say I don't like change you pathetic, unable to read douche?

All white is only a change for LSU, Auburn, Tennessee, Texas, Penn State, pretty much every team with a white helmet has all white. it is also highly unoriginal. they stuck with all white in the past because adding color was more expensive. I don't mind the white helmets occasionally, just wear them with purple jersey's or something, that all white pic of Holiday is Auburn with different color numbers and stripes.

How about Purple helmets with white jersey's and pants?

Do want to change the name of the stadium? Move the games to Thursday? Change the mascot? Have all home games start at noon? If not why do you hate change are you a sad little douche?

1) I don't care if it's different or not, I like all-white because objectively, it is the best looking uniform possible

2) It's much more lame to like something because of "tradition"

Are you actually saying it's impossible for people to think all-white is the most aesthetically pleasing uniform?

No not all, I just think that makes them boring

I agree, especially since the current unis have only been around since the 1970's. Are saying its not possible for someone to like the current uni's because they think those are the most aesthetically pleasing? I like color all white is boring as shite to me. Actually I don't like monochromatic unis in football regardless of color. If we are going to go all queer eye for the football guy, I always liked it better when the helmets and pants match.
I wouldn't mind changing the uni's necessarily or busting out something different for a game or 2 just not all white.

It would look really good at night. And if we could get a Penn State type of whiteout, that would be amazing.

I like the all white unis and if we had a white out game like that it would be cool. Our players would blend in with the crowd - it could be an advantage.

No, and I suppose I'm kind of a hypocrite here. Like I thought you assumed people could only like all-whites for the sake of "change," I guess I kind of thought they liked the current uniforms only because of "tradition." I respect all opinions, but I really do think that all-white just looks more clean, sleek, tight, etc...

Fair enough. My apologies.

Damn H-Town. We're talking uniforms here, not stadiums and mascots. Don't get me wrong. I like the current white uniform we use but the one Dodd posted with the purple and gold stripes down the side were incredible.
Wouldn't mind seeing it used as the extra uniform for OOC or for SEC home games.

I was really directing that at the poster I was responding to, his point seemed to be change for the sake of change.

I reality, I think most people do, I have a friend like that, he kind of hemmed and hawed when I pointed out we had different helmets in the early 70's, which is in his in my lifetime.

You are certainly are not alone, seems to be real popular among the 30 and under crowd for sure. I think its boring, but wouldn't affect my passion for LSU if we wore those.

no need bro, always good to have people expect a higher standard.

sorry if I got carried away But there is no need to assume I don't like all white because I have an aversion to change, I don't like monochromatic uni's in general, though all white is the best of those.

I really don't mind using special uni's from time to time. I thought for the game we honored the 1958 NC last year we should have worn 58 throw backs or something.

But to each his own, I just don't get the enthusiasm for the all white, to me it looks just like Auburn only with P&G instead of Blue and Orange stripes.

I'm thinking if we were to have these unis, we could do a whiteout game like Penn State

Purple and gold make all the difference imho.

fwiw, purple helmets and white unis = Northwestern. Doubtful that would ever catch on.

No. I just think change is inevitable. LSU has a history of changing their uniforms every so often and now we are overdue. I just wonder why we are holding on to uniforms from the 1970s. What in the hell did we do in the 70s that was so special?

yeah, but its secondary to the all white. Unlike say NW, we'd have the gold with purple helmets.

If you look at it they have changed subtly over the years, but I don't think we should radically change it because I like, not because of tradition. With the helmets all you are talking about is changing the color. There's lots of little changes you could make, one of the Sugar Bowls in the 80's we had gold trim around the numbers on the white jersey's, that looked really good. Look at the Vikings uni's, something like that. I don't mind the white helmets for special occasions.

the white uniform posted on the 1st page is the same uniform we have but just white. I think it looks damn good but that's just me.

Just looked up the Vikings uniforms. Agreed, they look good too.

Personally, I do not think all white (LSU) looks good at all. It is too complex..it just does not
"click" in my opinion. I am the type who thinks the best uniforms are Penn State, Notre Dame, Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Alabama, etc...too. I love tradition and traditional uniform...I really do believe that those uniforms look horrendous. Our traditional uniform (yellow helmet/white jersey/yellow pants) just can't be beat. The all white just DOES NOT look good in my opinion. It is too busy, too much going on. It looks like something Oregon University would wear in my opinion.

they're the best but ugly? You make no sense sherlock.

white = busy ??? Its usually associated with a sleek clean look. Another poster said it was boring, but not busy.

The green and yellow ducks? You better take the night off. Plain white uniforms and the Oregon Ducks will never be associated with each other.

This is a college and you old asses that have either already graduated or didn't even go to LSU can STFU. I am a student and I think the current students and athletes would love to do this as a special game.

1. We would be wearing white at home like no one else does.

2. Gold Outs are retarded. A White out would look incredible.

3. A White Out at night in Death Valley on TV would look beyond amazing. If they did this for a Game Day game it would be so bad arse and I actually think it would be helpful in attracting recruits.

4. You retards preaching about tradition are probably eating the "Talkin' Out The Side Of You Neck" shite up. I like it, but we stole it from some of the HBUs. It is now an LSU song and is played at every athletic event. So we can start new traditions.

*The only reason we have not done this yet is because they have to buy extra equipment for one game. This tradition garbage is complete bull shite. They vote on this shite every year and it has been voted down due to extra cost.
