It’s one of 2 SEC stadiums I have left to check off my list and I plan to go in 2021. I heard it was very nice up there, but never got details from an LSU fan.

We went with the alumni association in 2007. Woodford reserve Thursday, Keenland Friday and game Saturday. It was awesome, minus losing in 3 OT. Back in br by lunch on Sunday

Been there a half dozen times - personally, it’s one of my favorite SEC venues but that’s because I’m a bourbon guy and it always seems that every tailgate has a special one that they’re willing to share.

Pre-game, they tailgate well and they’re a really cordial crowd. They’re a little less hospitable once the game starts, but that’s largely due to the naibiters we’ve played and the fact that we disregard their traditions.

Post-game, win or lose (yes, been to both, including our OT loss and ‘BG miracle’), the fans are anything but friendly. Not good winners or losers but again, regardless of rank, we’ve had some battles on the field with these guys.

I'm down to A&M, Missouri, and Arkansas.

Went to Kentucky in 2007 as well.

Keeneland is only in October, so it depends when we get scheduled against them, but this is a must if it works out.

Bourbon Trail... it's like getting called home to the mothership. Make sure to block time for it.

Tailgating - reasonable. People were very nice.

Game - stadium, tradition, overall experience... probably average for the SEC, which is pretty good for a basketball-first school.

Grade: B+

This is Gainesville to a T. Between the campus popo and the fans, it's intolerable. Screw that place.

Mizzou is the only SEC school left on my list to visit.

I was also at UK for the three OT defeat. Fans were OK, but you could tell football is their second love. I primarily remember corn hole everywhere. Every tailgate had corn hole. Lexington is pretty nice. I'm headed back up for LSU baseball next year. Series is Easter weekend.

I was there for the Bluegrass Miracle and it was nice. Stadium is easy to naviagate, clean, and people were nice. Kinda small but cool place nonetheless

I agree florida fans are the most arrogant fans in all of the sec....not sure why they usually aren't revenant once it gets to November...
It's a shame Gainesville is a nice town but the student's arrogance gives it a bad name....always glad to see them lose at anything

It was worth it the one time i went. Kentucky has a better football team now, so it is def worth the trip.

Gainesville is not a nice town, lol.

Btw, I'm assuming there are some good live venues in Lexington for bluegrass?

I've been to every LSU game in Lexington since the early 70's. Have seen the stadium grow, their program improve and their fans level of expectations grow. Living in Indiana, it was just a quick trip, so it's worth going at least once and lots to do in the area. As for their fans, I think they're annoying and always think they're better than they really are!
