Just bet a couple grand on the game through my boss' bookie. Really hoping we win big so I don't have to pay that mf'er

Honestly I there isn’t no reason to assume either

“They return 20 starters!”

We return 18

“We were a 5-5 team last year!”

They were a 3-4 team in the pac 12.

Among those factors, you also have UCLA’s proximity to Vegas. There might be a “home team” factor at play as well.

that's not the way Vegas makes money.

Vegas doesn't pick winners and losers. They try to get equal money on both sides of the bet and they pocket the vig.

Good luck explaining that to the mouthbreathers.

Puzzles me that there has to be a solid amount on the Teddies for it to stay that low. Could be that Ida has slowed the flow of folks that go, say...1 to 5 large but you gotta believe the big boys will still get down.
Hard to believe many would wait for it get below the -2.5 but if it does I'll worry that something hasn't been reported.
Hey, that's why they call it Gambling.

They try and balance the money for sure. They also hedge their bets. However, it doesn't always work out equally, and they sometimes lose or win big. It looks like money is flowing in on UCLA...more than LSU...so when LSU covers, Vegas wins bigly here

I’m not sure why our fans think this will be a blowout. Is on paper talent making everyone so confident? I fully expect this to be a dog fight.

that's because you've bought into the nonsense of the talking heads and can't get 2020 out of your head.

This game MAY be close at half time, but the final score will be a win by multiple touchdowns for LSU. I can't believe how many idiots are throwing their money away betting on UCLA.

Vegas thinks it will be close, so do I.

First game
on the road
new coaches
young QB

We should be athletically superior, so lets see if we can coach and execute.

My takeaway was UCLA is a proven team with what looked to be exceptional line play on both sides. They have also played a game now, with no big injuries that I saw, which is a huge advantage.

Cross country, home field advantage, LSU with a new QB, nothing but question marks at RB and WR, and what... two TEs total?

If LSUs defense plays well, they have a good chance, but there's no telling how bad the defense will be this year, and I say that as a perennial sunshiner.

That said, UCLA had NO passing threat at any point in the game vs Hawaii. If LSU's Loganless line and whoever is playing LB can stop the run, it's OVER. There's a certain advantage that LSU holds here, and that's that they actually have film on UCLA, which I think is why my coinflip for this game goes to LSU. This day and age, the more film you have, so long as the talent is comparable, is worth its weight in gold.

It’s one way action. There will be a lot more money bet on UCLA than on LSU.

Vegas will make a lot of money if LSU wins.

Then LSU wins and covers. Vegas wasn't built because they lose. Its working out perfect for them.
