People forget that lsu doesn't need Mett to be a superstar to win games.

I hope Zach does great this year, but anyone blaming Zack's struggles last year on the OC-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There were a lot of reasons for Zachs struggles last year.
offensive scheme
play calling
average receiver play
receivers dropping perfectly catchable balls
o-line that just wasnt very good at pass blocking
I could go on but thats enough. Zach is the best QB LSU has had since 2007 and yes is the best QB we have. He will have a great year. And if LSU is starting anyone else it will be a long year.

Nope, just need him to be more consistent. In his second year starting here, I'm sure it will improve.

No, but we need good QB play if we are going to win a NC. We need someone who can make plays and hit the open receiver streaking down the field and not overthrow him by 5 yards, for example.

We got to the NC with Lee and JJ a couple years ago. Mett showed he can play vs Bama last year.

I think to be honest we have to add in inconsistent QB play.
Lets see, we have average receivers dropping balls, an o-line that cant pass block, and an inconsistent QB.
Maybe there was a reason the OC came across as shitty.

you seriously think we can get to the NC this year with that kind of QB play with the schedule we are facing? To be honest, Lee and JJ looked better than Mett did last year. With this schedule we need a QB who can make plays and Mett was coming on towards the end of last year. He could turn out to be a pretty good QB. If he can't we do have other options unlike when Lee/JJ were here.
