Because SFP is trying to employ revisionist history on all of his inaccurate assessments of the running backs. For one thing, SFP was always touting Keiland Williams, not Charles Scott.
For another thing, anybody w/ decent vision can see that Charles Scott has improved this year. He's running better than ever.

as a RB?
RBs aren't one of those positions who really develop much. you generally are what you are
that's why the transition is so easy from high school to college (and college to the pros) for the best

because keiland had starting experience (2006) and was the most likely guy to take carries from the starting "big" back (we really have 2 starting RBs, a "big back" and a "speed back")
how many times have i brought up the kentucky game? i didn't hate on charles scott. i said he was better also

Just six people that did develope or digress in the "you are what you are" running back world.

Ask Fla's safety if he runs w/PASSION

Scott has progressed tremendously as a RB during his LSU career thus-far. The problem with Keiland is that he hasn't - he's still the same back he was coming out of HS, unable to read a hole or make a block.

Scott has been superior to Hester in every way this year.
Debate the rest, but Scott is not as good at pass protection. He basically gave a free pass to the Auburn rusher who nailed Lee on his TD pass to CMitch. We could have had to play the rest of that game with a true freshman.

i mean you picked a guy like hester...what was his ypc? 4.6, 4.7, and 4.9. big difference
brandon jacobs didn't really develop, he was just behind better backs
i mean loook at scott last year. didn't he average 7+ ypc? it's not like he's a nobody

and last year hester did the same thing against bama, and it led to a pick in that game

and keiland is still good enough to average 5-6 ypc himself

Mr. Scott is: fast enough.
RE: KW's greatness. Yes he is talented and he is fast.
I wonder what round he'll get drafted in, if at all. I wish Williams the best.
But I couldn't care less who starts at tailback as long as there is a 0 in the L column and as long as we keep winning championships.
All this debate about Hester's ability or lack thereof is pointless.
Hester's obviously pretty damn good. Good enough that one of the best, if not THE best college coach in the country decided to start him all of last year; admittedly one of the best seasons in the long and storied history of LSU football.
Not to mention the fact that he was drafted in the 3rd round. Not too shabby IMO.
