I wouldn't bet on playing Saturday.. but that's just me. Maybe Monday or sometime after Saturday.. or during the bye week.

Playing on the bye week isn't an option. Different bye weeks. Monday could be an option, esp since its Labor Day.

track seems to keep shifting west with each advisory. Hopefully it keeps that up and spares Louisiana

Also, I vaguely remember during Ike in 2008 before the UNT game, there was some talk of playing the game at Texas Stadium, don't know how true it wa though

If the power goes out like it did for Gustav, Rita or Katrina might as well go tailgate. It will be a lot more fun than sitting around the house with no power. Besides if we do have large outages the cable will go out as well and the digital antennas work great on the parade grounds but do not have the range to work at my house.

Keep in mind Gustav hit on a Monday and postponed the Troy game that next Saturday.

Troy was supposed to be the next game after Appalachian State that year? I don't remember that at all.

What I find especially crazy is that we play a Pac-10 team in Week 2.

In 2005, N Texas got moved to later in the year, and our Week 2 Pac-10 game got moved to an away game.

Praying that this does not happen, for a multitude of reasons.

not surprised by this from you. FYI...no one more excited for the start of the season than me.....I would hope that you are kidding. The game will go on it appears...but still, it says a lot about your level of common sense and wisdom...and of course your selfishness.
