So being a good(far from great) backup to a heisman winner makes you an elite runningback now? Come on, where is the logic? Dion Lewis had the best freshman season since AD, you are either a closet Bama fan or just in the moment.

Did you even watch him play? That is a serious question.

Richardson is elite and what he did this past year wpuld qualify as "great" for every backup RB in the country. It would qualify as a pretty damn good year for most backs in the country, yet he did it against the toughest defenses in the country.

There are very few RBs in the entire country that I would trade for Richardson coming into his sophomore year. He shows excellent cutback ability, tremendous strength, great balance, and above average speed for a guy his size. He has shown he can catch the ball out the backfield as well.

I follow national recruiting and football about as close as anyone you will ever find and Richardson has impressed from day 1. There is a reason he is known as Mr. 407 in Pensacola.

LOL so your basing Richardson being better off of ONE game in which Alabama's OL dominated? Come on seriously.

Are you stupid?

Richardson is the reason Bama beat AU. His change of pace compared to Ingram worked wonders against the Tigers defense. On a day where the Heisman Trophy winner could not gain a yard, Richardson led his team down the field as a true freshman in the biggest game of the year for Alabama up to that point.

And I am not a Bama fan, but I can be objective and recognize talent when it is staring me back in the face. Give credit where credit is due.

ord is being mentioned in the same sentence as cecil collins says a lot

I talked to a coach at Leesville who had worked with both - back before I had heard of Ford.

He said Ford was better than Cecil.

Don't know how much 'character' went into that evaluation.

I have seen them both play - Watched Ford a lot and Cecil only twice.

I would choose Ford.

He almost single-handedly beat West Monroe two years ago - they were 5A state champs and Leesville is 4A. LHS is no match for WM at any position - except Ford carried LHS to ALMOST beat them.

And we were so great at RB last year that Ford sat on the bench

Texas' #1 rush defense was due to the pass happy "Little 12". Geez, if you quote statistics, at least use one that isn't skewed fior obvious reasons.

Richardson had a great year for a great team. However, you have to account that Alabama had a good/great Off line and we had a pathetic Off Line (in your argument based on stats then Richardson is better that C Scott as well) O-line has a lot to do with it. Time will tell, if we can get our o-line play up to that of Alabama's then time will tell..I've heard from people on the sidelines that Ford is the best looking back in the backfield this spring..

Ford is making some good waves this spring.. let's wait, Again Miles didn't give Murphy #18 to sit on the bench and Ridley has shown that he can play (even 7 months off of ACL repair/) But without a better O-line and some better play calling, it could be all for naught. I can't believe how strong this kid is !!! Its going to be interesting. In some of the TigerRag shots he seems to be much shorter tnan 5 ft 10 inch. Also, is Ware going to fit in ??? We need 4 RB and don't think he will be redshirted.

he is shorter than 5'10. I am 5'10" and definitely taller than he - by at least a half inch if not a full inch.

700 yards 8 tds and 5.2 carries make you elite? There are like 10+ backups every season with those #'s are they all elite too? You are being completly irrational.

I watched Bama vs VT Tennesse LSU Florida and Texas, I watched bits and pieces of other games as well.

No matter how you slice it there is NO RATIONAL way you can see he is on the same planet as Lewis from Pitt and James from Oregon.

With the oline LSU will have this season, it doesn't matter who is in the backfield. There will not be much production, on the ground, coming from any of the rbs.

Richardson is the best most physically talented runner in the nation IMO. If he wasn't splitting wiht Ingram he would be super hyped. Dude is tremendously hard to tackle.

After watching both split time last year I think he is the better of the two !
