How do we match up with Notre Dame\ Mich State?

I like our chances against ND. We can stack the box on them and dare them to throw.
I dont know jack about state though. Can anyone enlighten me?

I think we match up much better with Notre Dame.
Teams with very good run defense make me nervous.
Michigan State allows around 6 yards more per game than Bama.
Notre Dame is about as good as Texas A&M at defending the run.

Sparty has a stout defense, we won’t be able to just run on them at will. Best D we will have played other than Bama, particularly against the run. I think the jet sweep will open some things like against Bama but Etling will have to be on target for us to really have success on offense.
Fortunately they won’t be able to do much against our D imo. Not great on offense to the point I’d be surprised if they scored more than 20 if even that.

Michigan state will be a tough well coached team with a good defensive front 7. Secondary is average. None of their skill positions players really scare anyone.
Notre Dame has a very good running game and a pretty bad qb. Their defense is average at best and most teams have been able to run on them.

MSU is the stereotypical big10 team. However, they are very well coached. They are very disiplined.
I think our athleticism will beat them. Unless, we turnover the ball. Which I don't think will happen.

Michigan state has a good quarter back. Our secondary should contain . We just have to wear them down on the running game and do some play action and we should be good.
