Peterson is about the same as the QB was really not very good so cant tell much he is 3rd 4th round at best
Think you're about 3 rounds high. If he doesn't run lights out 40's he probably won't get drafted.

This.
He isn't nearly as fluid enough as TE's on the next level, so, if he doesn't show blazing speed then 6'3 230 with average TE speed and below average size and blocking ability, I doubt he will get drafted even in round 6 or 7.
I'd love for all of our Tigers to get drafted, and, drafted as high as possibly, but DeAngelo has a ways to go.

TEs exploded this year so everyone is going to be looking for their big time TE so i think someone will take a flyer on him on draft day

Not just this year, but the past 2-3 years the demand for pass catching TE's that can stretch the field has gone up tremendously. I'm not saying he can't get drafted, and I certainly want him to get drafted, it's just that if he doesn't run and really fast 40 time, it will be really tough on him.
When you look at the 2 molds of TE's in the league right now, he isn't big enough, strong enough, or sound enough of a blocker to fit into the Heap/Witten mold, so he will have to be really fast and display a boat load of athleticism and pass catching ability, as well as route running ability to convince GM's that he is the Jimmy Graham mold.
Him running his mouth all week and then showing the exact same production and style of play that he did throughout his entire time at LSU certainly won't give him an advantage if the decision is a tough one.
Either way, I hope he blazes the 40 and gets drafted and represents LSU well in the NFL, or, at least better than he has since he as left.
Best of luck to DeAngelo.

If he runs in the low 4.6 range and shows some athleticism I think he can catch on as a 2nd TE used exclusively to stretch the field. I agree that his talking this week and before the 1st Bama game won't help him any.

I think he'll need lower. He's not 6'7" like Graham. He's only 230. He'll need to touch low 4.5/high 4.4 imo to get drafted.

I would have liked for Ryan Baker to get invited to the Senior Bowl. I think it could have really helped him out a lot to get a chance to make some plays. I'm not sure his measurables will be high enough for him to get taken in the draft.
I think Ron Brooks still might stand a chance to get taken even though the scouting reports I have seen say that he probably won't. I think his measureables will open some eyes. Especially if he clocks in with a 4.3 in his 40 which he is capable of.

Think he definitely has as good a chance to get drafted as Peterson or Blackwell and a much better chance of making a team.

Kind of ironic that the one guy who kept his mouth shut the entire week and continued to work hard and stay focused ended up improving his stock.

Bingo. Taylor seems to be a really humble young man.

Yep... he also played for John Chavis and didn't endure that miserable offensive game plan.
