How did Les Pass the Interview Portion of the Hiring Process

How does he recruit? That's what I want to know.

I think they come here because they feel bad for Les.

Les was a good hire at the time. He did what he needed to do. Now, he needs to think about new challenges. I predict he leaves on his own accord.

When Les was hired Skip was dealing w/ the departure of Saban. There was a tremendous amount of friction between Saban and Skip. Skip wanted to be top dawg around LSU and Nick never gave him that respect. Nick did his own thing, got his own facilities and did not work through Bertman. Nick built the program in to what it is. And after Nick won the MNC, Skip knew he'd never be able to control Nick. Nick did not see Skip as his boss. He saw Emeritt as his boss and rightfully so. This situation was similar to the Jerry Jones/Jimmy Johnson situation in Dallas.

Any, Skip wanted a guy that would take 2nd fiddle to him and Les Miles happened to be there.

And there you have it. I honestly believe and have heard this from others, that this is what transpired.
