People also need to remember that LSU is no longer using that "line 'em up, knock 'em down" philosophy on the o-line. It's much more of a zone blocking which works to the advantage of linemen. He doesn't need to drive defensive linemen out of gaps. He just needs to hold his block long enough to creates creases for the RBs to slip through.
This is all wishful thinking. I'll remind you that three years ago Bama was knocking our offensive linemen into our backfield. If Liam is not freakishly strong no amount of technique is going to save him. I don't think Orgeron would have signed him if he didn't think he could handle it, but no one will know until he suits up against Tyler Shelvin.
