You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, so I’ll just defer to you on this one.

Did they ever give an official diagnosis of the Manning injury? I must have missed it if so. Thanks for any info.

Marlon did a great job on Tyree

He really didn’t lol, he spent the entire 2nd half on Tyree and Tyree went for 21 on 67% shooting and got to the FT line 7 times.

Yes but we did let two Arkansas guys get career highs of 26 and 22.

Florida we be a different test. Tougher match up Florida beat Auburn kind of easily. We went to overtime with Florida three times last year.

Not complaining. Our team is shaping up really well. We shot much better at Ole Miss. makes a big difference. This team needs to make 7 to 9 threes and shoot 35% from three to beat the top teams.

We do not have enough size or depth to get to the final four. But LSU can possibly get past the first weekend in the tournament. Having said that there does not appear to be a dominant team or two obviously going to the final4. North Carolina is a shadow of itself. And Duke is not dominating.

What’s actually the deal with Marlon? I know he’s coming back from an injury, is he still fighting back or did he suffer something else or reinjure it?

I cannot agree more with Phillipines here. Depth is our biggest issue right now. That and sloppy. silly turnovers. But this team simply cannot afford foul trouble. Days fouls out last game in really hurt us in that game! and for ANYONE to dismiss this is simply not thinking clearly!

And that is not to say LSU can become a great defense anytime soon, with or without depth, but there is more to winning basketball games than denying passing lanes and getting over on screens, etc.

Sometimes teams with holes need to focus on what they do best, rebounding, getting to the rim, etc. We also shoot free throws very well!

We could sit here for weeks and pick apart what we don't DO well, but I think LSU needs to continue to mash people on the glass and get to the rack!

Well I watched the video after my last reply so I will accordingly!

Two things I see that I would agree with OP

1. We do get REALLY lazy at times and that is a clear sign of a poor defense. However, my disagreement with the OP is that this is NOT an LSU issue. You clearly need to watch some more elite teams (or ones they claim as ranked bc there are NO elite teams in CBB) This is just a case with all teams other than maybe Virginia or Baylor types

2. We were ALL shouting on Saturday night to get OVER on screens esp with a hot shooter I cannot defend this is any way shape or form. I could see this happening with a player you don't mind shooting or someone you are trying to keep out of the paint. But I can't see any reason for this type of D.

3. I also remember LSU struggling a bit with rotations and simply picking up up players in even moderate transition.

Maybe we can blame some of this on new players in the rotation, and one thing I KNOW, is that Mr Bishop is not even close to ready to play Div 1 hoops right now on the defensive end of the floor. He looks totally lost in the times i have seen him play He must be skilled on the offensive end otherwise, I cannot see any reason he gets any run. Hope the kid figures some things out.

lol maybe i just repeated myself!

Bishop really doesn’t look ready offensively either lol
