There is nothing wrong with having more than one QB that can play. The total dislike for certain players around here is disturbing.

I know. I have no idea why so many people hate JL. Personally, I like both guys. They are just kids.

this too To answer your question...a total loss or lack or perspective, ie., some here think if we dare lose a game that their balls are going to turn black and fall off. Their masculinity is threatened when presented with opinions unlike their own.

I am torn between who I want to win the starting job.

On one hand Jordan Jefferson is a young gun who can really lead this team to greatness over the course of this year and next, he's exciting with his feet which is an added bonus.

However the redemption angle that Jarret Lee is shooting for, coming back from a terrible season last year to prove the kid can play when given the time to grow would be great as well.

Jordan isn't a fantastic interview, and neither was Jarret, although he's gotten better during the off season, maybe he's been reading more than the playbook.

But if you really think any of this matters to us or any daily working media guys out there actually care who is the starter, you really need to reconsider.

The truth is, we need to get content out every day about something with this team, one day it will be QB's, one day it will be offensive line. There is no money on who's going to start or who won't. If a guy is a starter, he'll get more focus and attention, but that is why media guys look at the 2 deep, not because we have an underdog favorite, a pain in the arse we root against, or an actual care about who plays where. We all know we don't know enough about football to second guess a coaching staff who works with these guys every single day, talks to them about their lives off the football field, and has an overall better feel for who kids are and how they react than what we see at practice for 20 minutes if we're lucky.

I know Jefferson will struggle but as long as he struggles without doing things to hurt his team, we will be in every game.

thats hard to do

Is it? He never showed the knack to force the ball, he actually showed some ability to read progressions, he actually tucked it and ran if it wasn't there?

he didnt play enough to show to his hand at what type of QB he is going to be, which is what im trying to say.

he was bad just as much as he was good.

Why? He just describe the Bama game. There was nothing incorrect in that statement.

So nothing can be improved by practice. Uh, yea sonnyboy, sure. Is the sky purple polka dotted in your world?

This can't be so, the rant hierarchy has deemed otherwise.

Which is 20 more minutes that the king RANTARDS yet they still feel they have more insight than the coaches and the media. I wish more people would remember this.

The Rant hierarchy hasn't ever covered a team in their life. Trust me, all media types, while not really allowed to root for a team, would much rather cover a team that is winning than a team that loses. Ive done both and covering a team that is a yearly loser (think nuggets in the late 90's early 2000's) is fricking brutal.

Great comeback. You just proved that you're totally ignorant about LSU football.

I can live with this.....I have no hate for JL. I'm pulling for him and I know we will need him at some point this season.

I just felt that JJ did more in his 2.5 games to show me that he understands his role better than Lee. This was evidenced by the T/O ratio and Lee's inablity to learn from his previous mistakes. JL should have gotten progressively better as the season went on, yet he took the other path which is ultimately how JJ got on the field.

You and me both know that competition is a good thing......I'm glad Lee is practicing like an all-star.

I understand your points.

It's a simple fact that Lee throws a better ball than any QB we have, in practice. It's also a simple fact that Jefferson is a better QB, in games, than Lee.
