School pays for insurance policy.

The school that just removed a $5million liability off the books.

Didn't realize schools could take out the policy.

That said, doesn't sound like it works out for the players.

Jaylon got $700k after falling per a different source, even though he likely lost $14m or so because of the injury.

Name the last 5 Fiesta Bowl winners without Googling it.

Hell, name the last 2 winners.

Same money all the players who buy them come up with. Leonard Fournette wasn't born with a silver spoon and managed to pay for a $20MM policy before the 2016 season. Granted he had the policy and still chose to sit out, but at least he had an injury.

Most of those insurance plans are scams and in no way can they replace the money you could lose with a significant injury

I do not blame them for not playing. Not about tiger pride or any of that. It’s abour being on the cusp of coming instantly into more money than most will make in a lifetime by playing the game you love at a higher level. More power to them. They have done right by LSU and I support whatever decision they make. Their future is on the line, no one cares about the fiesta bowl and that is a fact

You can't pick and choose to whom, and when, you keep your word...you either do, or you don't..it's that simple...and again, it's all you have.

Greedy didn't. Period.

I hope his kid doesn't follow Dad's poor example.

Exactly. All these tough guy internet warriors don't know what the real world is and in the real world carriers are nickle and diming every one of those policies and I know of not one player who has not lost a great deal of worth in the event of an injury or any value dropping event from playing.

Using Greedy as an example. Exactly how much money would he lose if he has a significant injury in the bowl game?

Booo fricking hooo

Was his word to play every game no matter the circumstances?

It was to exchange his football ability for a scholarship from LSU, which I am Sure he is no longer using.
