Where is everyone staying? anyone know anything about the area?

This won't help...
I'm staying in Portland with a good friend, driving up. They say 4 hours to the stadium from their house.
Can't wait

TigerStick,
I'm booked into the Universtity Inn. It's just off campus and a mile or less walk to the stadium. I beieve it's the closest place to stay to the stadium that's still off campus.

Downtown Seattle is like a 10-15 minute drive from the UW. I-5 goes through downtown Seattle and if you take I-5 to the 45th street exit (roughly 5-10 minutes). You would go along 45th street for about a mile and you will see the parking lot for Husky stadium.

So basically, you just live up the road from me.

I checked out this University Inn place and they have shuttles that run to other parts of town. I figure that's a good option. But does Seattle have other public transportation?

i looked at their website, great price, cool rooms, great looking bar but if you are bringing the wives/girlfriends it might not be a great idea. there was a tiny line on the home page that read somthing like.....Mens and womens restrooms available on each floor.
that kind of scared me off.

They have excellent public transportation. I just went this past summer and they have busses, ferries, and a soon to be open tram/sky train.
The buses are clean, on time, and cheap.

Here's a link to the public transportation web site. Note the Husky Stadium UW Football sub-link.

I'm at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue.
$129/night for a 4-star hotel about 15 min from where I'll be getting on the boat to tailgate!
