How do you explain the Swoosh?

This really isn't that difficult.

Insignia, logos, labels:
a. Uniforms and all other items of apparel (e.g., warm-ups, socks, headbands, T-shirts, wristbands, visors, hats or gloves) may bear only a single manufacturer’s or distributor’s normal label or trademark (regardless of the visibility of the label or trademark) not to exceed 2.25 square inches in area (e.g.., rectangle, square, parallelogram) including any additional material (e.g., patch) surrounding the normal trademark or logo.

How so?

Because they produce the rule book and the rule book governs uniforms.

Those aren't personal advertisements, that's team sponsors. Just like how every soccer team has a sponsor on their uniform. The person is saying you won't have an individual player with a sponsor patch that the rest of the team doesn't have.

The problem is when a pro athlete enters into a deal with an advertiser they don’t like it’s easy to back out of it because they have a salary to fall back on. College players will be at the mercy of these companies and that’s where their loyalty will be, not to LSU or the team.

There are uniform rules. It's called a uniform because they're all the same. I mean they fine players in the NFL for having a different color towel than other players. Players can't choose to add stuff to their uniforms.

LSU always could put sponsor logos on their jerseys like pro soccer or the NBA, they choose not to.

Actually, I’m pretty sure they can’t or all schools would have done it by now. The NCAA rules probably prohibit those kinds of ad patches on jerseys. The jersey manufacturers are allowed to put their mark on it but that’s about it. And the NCAA has rules when it comes to uniforms.

You never see personal advertisements on uniforms in any pro league. (Don’t bring NASCAR into this)
NBA has opened the door already, my man. Small logos upper left chest for now. Might not be too long till the Lakers are "China's Team" like the Cowboys (used to be) "America's Team" with some company we've never heard of plastered all over the uni.

You're right. It wouldn't have been that difficult to include the full rules in your initial post.
