Living proof that if you work hard and wait your turn good things can happen for you. I'm not given up on Nick yet. Hope he sees that he can do what darrel did this year

It's his time for sure.
He will have to lead the way.
Helaire can be that change of pace guy.

You never know what you are going to get with the newcomers. From picking up assignments and learning the offense. Even Fournette took a little while before he burst onto the scene.

There have been flashes that indicate Brossette can be a good, productive RB. he just can't put the ball on the turf. If he can put his past mistakes behind him and refocus I think he will do well.

I know he's taken a lot of heat during his time here at LSU. I'm a believer in redemption so he's my 2018 redemption player. Light it up Nick!

No reason to give up, all he’s lacked is playing time. Here are his career stats at LSU. And for people saying he is gamble prone, he’s fumble twice and lost 1. That one happened to be the first play of the Troy game.

I wonder if his blocking needs improvement, though I really have no reason to think that. I’m just wonderering because he has looked good when he carries the ball.

Year - C - Yds - YPC
2015 - 12 - 65 - 5.4
2016 - 15 - 145 - 9.7
2017 - 19 - 96 - 5.1
Car - 46 - 306 - 6.7

The improvement of Williams from junior to senior year truly is incredible. I was worried about him backing up Guice but he proved me wrong. He's an NFL caliber RB now.

Brossette can be really good but, to me, he is more of a "slasher" than a power back like Williams and, of course, Guice. As far as I know he's had only the one fumble in a game that went haywire every direction. Naturally, I am pulling for his development.

Yep. He has shown the ability in limited action. Maybe he isn’t doing the other things like missing blocking assignments and knowing the play call.

I think he's lost 2. The game where he fumbled and cried afterwards was a lost fumble wasn't it? And I'm not knocking him for getting upset. Unfortunately with limited carries the miscues become more highlighted.

Well we’ve got one of the best running back coaches in the business. He will get a lot out of Brosette

Not sure if you are being sarcastic, but I have faith in Robinson as a RB coach and talent evaluator. Between CEH, Brossette, Curry, Proevens and likely Joiner we will be fine. Cleaning up the OL and blocking schemes will be as important if not more than whose carrying the ball.

It certainly improved over the course of the season and needs to continue to improve.

I just don't think he is SEC caliber running back. Hope I am wrong but time will tell.

According to the stats I’ve found. 1 fumble as a freshman, not lost. 1 fumble 2017 (Troy), fumble lost.

Losers on this forum will want to write him off after 1 mistake, but he is a Tiger and has my support. We will need him.

That's the problem with a RB given few opptys, people overreact and extrapolate.

Few thought DW would be a quality RB since he didn't break 20yd runs on his few opptys last year.

The fumble vs. Troy came on a beautiful tackle; it's ridiculous to label him fumble-prone.

It's very alarming that he's supposed to be the guy next year, but literally got NO serviceable action this year...I don't see him being the man...hope I'm wromg

the "he's not an SEC caliber player" thing always amuses me. there's 14 teams in the SEC with 85 scholarship players each. by definition, they're SEC caliber. and that's a pretty broad spectrum.

now if you wanna say "all SEC caliber" or "SEC starter", that's another thing.

anyway, I think the kid can be a serviceable RB for us.
