re: Honest question for the Posi crowd

I stated my position on the first page. For you to compare people who have supported Miles to husbands who have wives who frick around on them is ridiculous and an obvious attempt to grab attention.

Miles doesn't give lsu the best chance to win. Had a chance to take a chance on an opportunity to have success with another coach.

Refer to original analogy as to why some can't live with the thought.

So you just want to be miserable next year and look for reasons to complain?

I mean if you don't like Les that is fine, but rooting for him to fail means rooting for LSU to fail as well. I don't see how that can make anyone a fan in anyway. That is putting 1 person over the program as a whole. You may not agree with how things went down but the fact is Les Miles is the coach next season. So again, you can be miserable for an entire offseason and season, or you can be optimistic and enjoy watching LF in his last season.

That is a fair question. Even though some posters call me a nega-tiger I am not. I am a Les Miles fan and I truly want him to succeed. For me personally next year will be crucial. We will have a much more seasoned group of starters, Steele will be another year into his tenure and if Harris is the starter next year he will have an whole year under his belt. If LSU is not in one of the top 10 at the end of the season next year and in one of the top bowl games then it is time for a change.

With the way Alleva and the boosters screwed up the Miles situation at the end of the season this year if Miles doesn't do the above I think the recruiting class will suffer tremendously as most recruits will figure Miles is gone anyway. So if LSU doesn't win at least 10 games in the regular season "I think that will be what it takes to be in the top 10 and a top bowl game" it is time for a change.

How bad is less? 9 win bad? 10 win bad? I mean he hasn't posted a losing record or even come close to .500 like a lot of "fans" want to believe it seems. LSU is not Alabama and Les is not Nick Saban and that is what drives the majority of this board.

I think those that want LSU to do better have learned from recent events is that you have to be vocal and visible in the state of LA to be heard. The Les Miles campaign worked. All the loving fans came out in favor of Les and the politicians went to work to save his job.


Those that want better should not be silent.

Nope I will enjoy the season, not point in bitching about things I can not control. Unlike some I do not live and die by LSU football. It does not make me mad or happy. At the end of the season they decide to make a change, I can accept that and move on.
Les Miles has done a lot for this football team, more than probably any previous coach. I can respect him for that, but to constantly tear him down because I did not like the past 2 seasons just screams of bitter people who do not have their life priorities in line.
