That was luck. There weren't any DL coaches with a 10-25 record as a HC at the time. He had to take a chance.

I think it would take a total collapse next year for LSU to cut Alleva loose. Probably stuck with him until his contract is up in 2020 and he retires. Hope I'm wrong.
