I enjoy watching Hill throw and he will be cashing big MLB checks soon, but hanging a couple of balls over the plate proved costly. Against just about any other team, that performance last night would have been a W, but MSU was very patient at the plate and when he made a mistake, they made him pay. I still enjoy watching him pitch and I'm looking forward to seeing him a lot more this season. His off-speed pitches are wicked and gets the batter out just about every time. Can't wait to see him pitch again!

IMO, Hill made only one glaringly bad pitch last night and that was the homerun to the left fielder on a 0-0 pitch.

The ball was belt high, dead center over the plate.

Agree, Hill did very well. He mixed his pitches much better. We just lost it at the plate, and didn’t advance runners when we had chances. Not totally bummed out, but our youngsters need to grow up quick, cause the SEC is loaded. Might need to see more small ball to interrupt these top pitchers, too, but I don’t know if bunting is a strength of this team, as we’ve looked bad, trying...

CPM said they thought the guy was bunting; that’s why they called for FB there.
