Where was LSU involved in that lawsuit or the comments of that lawyer?
Their hurt feelings are not grounds for any disciplinary action. They can go frick themselves. Sankey should have been better prepared to defend his position under oath if he didn't want to be embarrassed. He did that to himself, not Lane or LSU.

The SEC cannot force LSU to suspend or fire Kiffin! If they try, then it is without cause and since he didn’t do anything wrong or break any rules.

Obstinate: refusing to change your mind, opinion, or course of action.
Isn't that exactly what Kiffin said he would do and then did?

I think we all know that the Governor and President of LSU are deeply connected. Same with the AD and Attorney General. If you think LSU isn’t involved in this, and it’s just the players, I think you’re naive.

I think LSU refused to recognize the SEC’s authority. Again, that’s fine, but it doesn’t come without consequences. This was going to happen to some school at some point, and the powers that be at LSU stubbornly took that risk. It is what it is.

What rule was broken?
If anything, LSU is in contempt of court for not rostering the players. Courts authority > SEC's authority.
LSU has shown greater recognition of the conference's 5-minute-old made up line in the sand rules than for the Judge in the case.
