I agree completely. I was just remarking on LSU making the point that their doors are still open to him as far as continuing his education is concerned. I may be a bit presumptuous, but figured LSU would likely find a way to help him with financial aid of some sort knowing that suddenly assuming the cost of tuition may be financially prohibitive for him/his family otherwise (at least until next April rolls around).

How about let lsu follow their policy and see if the system works?
If its the 3rd time, according to the policy, sit him for a year, pay his dues, and let him come back in 2013.

Well there are these things called "student loans". Maybe you've heard of them?

honestly this guy needs to move on and play football somewhere else. if he couldnt keep his nose clean while playing ball at one of the best programs in the country, what makes you think he will all of a sudden keep clean when he has all of this free time?
he better try an get to a different program and meet some new people and work his arse off to try and impress some nfl scouts.

LSU compliance guy should have kept his mouth shut so he is somewhat at fault; however, at that time Tm7 could not come back bc he declined LSU discipline option.
That being said GG has been a freaking cry baby since then making crazy claims to as to why things changed.

Yeah... I've paid mine back.
But with school starting pretty soon, and up until a couple days ago his classes were paid for... Not to mention - It's a little late to be turning in the federal aid paperwork for this semester. I was thinking along the lines of grants, work-study, etc...
TCU is private and costs a bit more - So it's different (see my post the page before for all that yadayada). I was just pondering how much commitment the university felt towards the "student" part of the student-athlete given the timing of this thing.
ETA:
Needed to clarify "federal" aid

St Aug is almost 7k a year.
If TM was white and went to Rummel, would you have the same concern?
Where do people get this shite from?

I hear ya. I think his parents (adopted) were king and queen of Zulu as well. I think they have money.

What's room, board, books, food, tuition, etc... add up to for a semester at LSU nowadays?
Honest question.

Good to know. I read about his adoptive parents being good folks that have been with their respective employers for a long time, but I wasn't sure if there were others in the family they were footing the bill for education-wise. It can add up pretty quick.

Yes, actually. If you/your family is counting on you having a scholarship so they can devote part of their budget to other individuals/needs... Absolutely.
Maybe I'm in the minority because I wasn't really thinking about Race/Socio-Economic status - Just looking at it from how it would've affected MY family if I had been in the same situation (Fortunately, I had an Academic Scholarship to fall back on when I quit playing soccer).

You want me to predict how much TM will spend on food in a year and predict his rent?
Dude, you're reaching. Just stop.
His family can afford to pay for college for one year. Like I said, if he was white and went to Rummel or Jesuit, you wouldn't have these concerns.

In his eyes, all black kids are poor apparently.

While I done necessarily agree it is time to move on for TM, I certainly have little or no confidence he will be able to do what it takes to ever rejoin the team of he does decide to LSU.
His immaturity and previous behavior gives no indication that anyone should be confident in his return to the team in 2013.
BUT, I honestly think TM's draft stock may actually rise more from staying at LSU and sitting out showing his eagerness to take the hard road than going the easy way and playing at McNeese.
If his stock took a hit because of all this, I can't see how playing for McNeese helps that.

1. I'm not a guy.
2. Read the ETA2 in my post above this one.

Well, tyranns family has money. So paying one year of lsu isn't a concern.

I think he can keep his nose clean. It looks like the fame got to him pretty bad and now thats basically been stripped away. I think the fame and being pumped up turned him into one of those kids that actually needed punishment to come down instead of just the threat of punishment.

Colleges have payment plans, and deferment plans, his family sent him to a
prestigious catholic/private school, there are student loans (both government and privately funded), etc., there is no reason to believe whatsoever that tuition would be a problem unless you really just dont know that much about paying tuition or to assume he can't afford it because he is black.

quote:Um...that's what we're talking about. Bahnsen's quotes. From himself.
All I have seen is media reports (like GG and USA Today) reporting that.
In the TP story this morning by Kleinpeter, Vincent says Bahnsen was quoted out of context. That's a pretty typical response when you can't deny the quote but you want to distance yourself from it.

And that is solely based on your desire for
him to. He has done nothing to give any evidence he actually can.
Like the girl who has cheated on her bf three times, but he believes this time is different because she was really sorry and showed alot of humility.
Maybe he can stay clean, I just won't believe it till he does it.

GG is drawing straws w/ speculating on why things are changing. Since he went viral with his "scoop", it has almost immediately been labeled poop. His Bama quotes are nothing but an attempt to be cute and troll at the same time. He has egg on his head....the big boys came calling and all wanted to hear what he had to say, too bad it he talked to the wrong guy.
It appears obivious that the groundwork is in place for TM7 that allows the door of opportunity to remain cracked at LSU. It is possible for decisions made early on have been re-thought. The normal reaction for a player that has been kicked off is to leave and find another place to play. However, this probably isn't in TM7 best interest. He already stands to lose hundreds of thousands if not millions. Why not sit a year and get your shite straight and come back a clean man, ask for reinstatement to play and come out and play like your hair is on fire. Sounds like a Disney movie on 2nd chances to me. If this plan works he will once again be more appealing to the NFL.
The dude loves LSU and realizes that he screwed up. He wants to come back and will if he can keep his shite together and not lose sight this time. The plan has already started with him going to Tejas to get clean. Somebody needs to muzzle Bo...nobody likes a loud mouth.
