I use that name, and have been asked how can I be a supporter of Miles when I wanted Mac gone. The answer is, I learned my lesson. You cannot let a coach who is a winner go without knowing that his replacement will improve the program. LSU suffered for many, many years after he left and we didnt turn the corner until Saban came and went, and Miles took over. As I said in an earlier post, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Penn State, Michigan, Miami, and even Oklahoma negasooners wanted Stoops gone after 2 less than stellar seasons, and many more all wanted what you negatigers want....perfection-which doesnt exist. Enjoy a good coach while we have one, cause when we change...its a crapshoot. UNLESS YOU ARE THE LEAD DOG, THE VIEW IS ALWAYS THE SAME.....

You think the coach we hire after Les will die in a plane crash as well?

So looking back you think Mac should have kept his job?

We were on a slow decline throughout the 70's under his watch. A lot of people think Bo Rein would have been one of the great SEC coaches of the 80's-and probably 90's-had he lived. LSU made the right call, but tragedy struck and we lost our next great coach.

That's what I was getting at, bonehead. LSU firing Mac may have turned out being a great move if not for the plane crash, yet you use that as a reason to not fire Les Miles.

I gotta agree with Twill on this one, come on man the Golden State Warriors made the move from a coach who consistently won 52-57 games per year and was a top 4 playoff seed but never made it past the 2nd round. So they can his arse and hire Steve Kerr. What does he do????? Only win it all his first year and is almost going undefeated his second, which is tough to do in hoops. Change is good and needed sometime.

To whom much is given, much is expected brother

Les isnt mac yet....and the replacement "menu" is not as good as we have, so I support les....those like Jimbo, those that have great jobs are not gonna leave...just saying...not many Bo Reins around these days

Ok and we have great players man. Cmon man. If Les can do one thing it's recruit dumbass

And btw. Jimbo was on board. F King nixed that deal even though the money was coming from a handful of boosters. Said it would have looked bad because of the financial situation the university is in.

Mac had 5 more years than Les also. I'm so tired of these Les hating Negas. I wish they'd find another team to hate.

I was at Mac's last game in Tiger stadium. I was a freshman. I got the same lump in my throat when they carried him off the field that I did after the A & M game. At least this time the administration got it right.

The continuous melt of the Negas was glorious but it's getting old folks. Les won, y'all lost. Get over it already. Find another team if you hate the golden age of "mediocrity".

If you believe Jimbo was on board, you are delusional. You must room with DALSU

Look I'm with you. I was ready for a change but it didn't happen. Les is a great recruiter and good coach. All you have to do is read the Curley thread to know we're in a better place with him. If he changes his philosophy and takes the talent he has next year to more than 9-3 and the friggin Texas Bowl next year I will kiss his arse and shake his hand. I really do love the man and he's OUR coach. But yes Jimbo was on board and the deal was done. Got nixed the Wed-Thu before the A&M game and finalized during the 3rd quarter of said game. If you don't believe it you should get better connections.

Except for the Jimbo thing, I am with you. Lets take a good football team, and make them a great team next year. Jimbo was never gonna leave his kids...much less FSU.

So tired of people like you telling the rest of us what we should be happy with and what our expectations should be when it comes to Miles and LSU football. You go ahead and act like things have been good since 21-0. Accept mediocrity in your own life but leave us alone. Some of us expect better than downward spiral of 6-2 then 5-3 4-4 5-3 SEC records. Some of us expect to play at championship levels just like Alabama fans expect it of their team. Does that mean we believe we will win a National Championship every year know. Should we be in the conversation yes. We can't even get to a major bowl.
