Help me Understand why Gaines isn’t Starting

I get it that Pinson is good and he has experience but Gaines seems to be the better point person at this point. Pinson can get his own shot and that’s great but I feel like he never gets the rest of the the teams involved.

They’re both getting almost identical minutes per game. But I do enjoy Gaines spark coming off the bench

Seems what's best for him. He gets game flow from the bench then comes in rolling.

We have only 3 guards, they all play pretty evenly.

I can’t stand how he’s so nonchalant with the ball at times. It’s almost lazy with the ball and his passes. He’s explosive, but put a little more effort into it all the time.
