Miles had a three year head start on Saban lsu was in way better shape than bama. Not only did he catch miles by year 3 but he had passed him up by then
exactly!

So our program has fallen to the level where you expect us to get blown out at home against bama?
I don't expect it, no
but it is the reality of the situation

I didnt say losing to anybody specifically each year...thanks for putting words in my mouth.....I said as along as one of the losses WAS NOT to Bama each year.
right...
so you would have to replace that loss with someone else...and that someone would be a lesser team
and you think people would be ok with that?

I'm scared to respond admins might hack me seem like you have to be positive about LSU

not every but occasionally....yes. I for one, would be thrilled to beat Bama occasionally and finish 10-2. 10 wins is the threshold for most pumpers anyway right?
You know as well as I, many people gauge the success of the season, among other factors, with beating Bama. Where we end up at the end of the season is usually a result of how we fare against Bama. We need to stop the bleeding now. We've had the talent in the past and schit the bed....that falls solely on coaching.

we have played Bama tight several times when we probably should have been blown out
When has LSU had so little talent that they should have been blown out?

2008 immediately comes to mind
2014 with AJ
and its not the talent discrepancy, its the coaching discrepancy

Now I'm confused on which side you're on
Are you for or against Miles?

I honestly don't know what this means. I'm for Miles and LSU winning.
I defend Miles against unwarranted criticism.
He has plenty of legit criticisms, so I never understand why people choose to discredit his legit accomplishments.

He can recruit, but he can't coach.
Dan Patrick can't do either but Miles could be an analyst.

Where? When? How? Link?
Rick parades out his accomplishments 3/4 times a week and virtually no one disputes what hes done (bottom feeders excluded). But he's using those accomplishments as a crutch to defend the last few years which have been underwhelming to say the least.
My point, most criticism is valid....albeit, its repeated ad nauseum.

Lou Holtz was a analyst.
It doesn't require much to be one.

I was legitimately asking. I just couldn't remember your stance. I thought you were a supporter, but then you acknowledged a coaching discrepancy and not a talent discrepancy. I see your point and I respect your opinions. For the record I generally agree with your posts non Miles related. You're a quality poster. We just differ on this point.

Solid point. But that doesn't make it right

This very thread?
I'm not linking the plethora of threads that have claimed Miles did nothing for OK St, he only won early because of Saban recruits, he got lucky in 2011, he got lucky in 2007, he isn't a good recruiter, just in a lucky situation, and so on and so on

You see ONLY what you want to see. Many people acknowledge what the man has done. You guys are like vultures sweeping down on any negative post and focusing solely on that....taking every word personally. Ridiculous!

I see Rick getting in long debates daily with half this board. So you saying that nobody disagrees with him is just factually incorrect.

and the same could be said for the nega swooping down upon positive post
just there are a lot more negative posts these days

I don't take anything personally on this site.
But your unwillingness to accept that a large faction of posters on here have taken it upon themselves to discredit Miles entire career is quite ridiculous.

Your claim is wholly untrue. I know there are people who wont credit Miles for anything. Im not one of them. He was a great coach....at one point......now he's not. Its that simple. I acknowledge his accomplishments but want him gone because I believe its in the best interest of the program.
