After that win. Our young team showed that they can be clutch when needed, and played like seasoned vets tonight. Great win for our Tigers.

And optimistic too.

Stressful game. I left after 8 because stadium food did not like me. Been watching on ESPN3

Going to growing pains especially early on but the future is bright.

It's baseball there will be ups and down especially with a young squad. The guys played their butts off tonight and seem to have developed good chemistry. We need to continue developing our bullpen, especially when conference play comes around.

I was a little surprised at Poche's performance. Really thought he would have been nails tonight.

I only was able to catch the last 3 innings or so. He was doing pretty well coming into the 7th, correct?

It's so early and he's somewhat proven. I'm sure he will have better outings in weeks to come.

He did pretty good throughout, but they started hitting him towards the end. Curve was nasty, they were just seeing it well I think. Manieri left him out there too long IMO. Not bad, but I really thought he was gonna pitch a shut out.

Wasn't he pretty solid through 5 or 6 innings last season before getting shelled?

He was, as much as he usually is. He should have been pulled 1 hitter into the 7th.

Poche had thrown more than 4 innings in a scrimmage only once this spring; last Friday. He did well for the first 4 innings and then got hit in the 5th. I think he was over extended for a first game outing.
