As long as Hatch can throw accurately 50 yards, we'll be fine.

I don't even want to start with Jarrett Lee. Dude practically threw 3 interceptions against App st.

If we're playing the "almost" game, then Hatch practically threw 2 as well.

Neither looked like they could lead us to Atlanta imo.

How about the moves Lafell and particuarlly Bryd made. I knew they both were quick but I didn't know they were that shifty and elusive.

This should put to rest the negatigers who keep saying that Hatch can't throw more than 10 yards. That was a nice deep ball that he threw in the Spring Game ... and enough to keep teams from stacking the line with 8 in the box.

All I recall is the batted ball and the long pass to D. Byrd going to the End Zone which hit the defender's back other than that there were no almost interceptions.

Now Jarrett Lee threw the ball right in the hands of the defenders but only to dropped them. One was intercepted.

I know I just watched the game in fast mode in DVR with the fast skip mode. I watched the whole LSU's offense in 10 minutes.

How can it be called highlights when there isn't a pass thrown over 10 yards for a completion. Highlights for Mississippi State not LSU.

When I watched the game for a 2nd time, Hatch only completed one pass to the sidelines more than 10 yards. He cannot throw a 15 yard out...that is obivious. Auburn will be wiating for all that underneath stuff and over the middle passes.

For all of you that bitch and moan about the quarterbacks, do us all a favor and kill yourself.

You are retarded. You will always be retarded. You are an embarassment to Tiger Football.

Lee threw a nice out pattern to the near sideline at the :44 mark in his video.

Hatch looked like he had good control of the game. He can definitely throw the ball 40-50 yards. Heck, most of the people on this board can throw the football over 30 yards, how could a college QB NOT do so?

The point is that he will do what the offense calls for him to do. Trust the Wizard. We might not win every game, but we are going to do a lot better than some of the Negatigers on here think.

We always do.

There were two passes from Hatch to Dickson that could have been picks. One in the first quarter down the seam in which he was double covered (DB running with him underneath, safety over the top). Hatch tried to force it in and it went right past the DB's face and hands before bouncing off of Dickson's hands.

The second was on a drive going to the north endzone in the 3rd quarter on another pass to Dickson down the middle. The LB read his eyes, jumped in front, and got both hands on the ball...almost the same as the Lee pick. The DB had underneath coverage again and also would have had a chance at the pick had the LB not defelcted the ball.

DISCLAIMER: No one is saying that Hatch "sucks,' that LSU "sucks," that we are going to finish 3-9, that we are doomed, or any other gibberish.

relatively underwhelming.

The ball doesn't have tremendous velocity, either.

Hatch isn't particularly fast

SEC teams will certainly gameplan to suffocate the short and underneath routes (hooks, bubble screens, inside screens, slants, etc.).

Well, thank goodness for the disclaimer.

The original response was to the poster playing the pretend game, saying Lee "practically" threw 3 ints. Please read the thread before commenting.

The one thing that stands out from the videos is how weak App St's defense was. Our QBs had plenty of time to do what they wanted, and our receivers were wide open on so many plays. No knock on Hatch or Lee, but the OOC games aren't good indicators of how they'll do against SEC competition. Hatch/Lee v. Auburn, UF and USC—those are the tests.
