i'd imagine saban's staff that has gotten like 4, #1 classes in a row can make arguments

Seriously. The offseason really lets us know just how delusional our fanbase is.

The last 5 years we've been NFL U, we haven't accomplished anything except getting our arse handed to us in the National Championship game.

Right because top 15 finishes mean nothing.

Some of you guys need to get real. History is the best indicator of the future.

Some of YOU need a lsu history lesson. The last 5 season's win loss record is better than Saban's tenure at lsu. While our record could be better in no way is it some shite record.

But all this sunshine pumping based on so little actual substance is laughable.

Ahh the rant. Where stating fricking facts is considered sunshine pumping.

Its not an opinion we have te qnd best record in the sec over the last 5 years

Its a fricking fact.

I love how dumbasses like you dont do shite to make lsu football a better product yet come on here and act like top 15 finishes are beneath lsu and are shite seasons.

don't know if LSUs is the best ever, but they have to be pretty damn good to convince the number 2 class to sign after 5/6 straight losses to Bama and 3, 3+ loss seasons

Right because miles doesnt have history of winning at lsu. I hate our ignorant and entitled fan base.

LSU has always had very good recruiters, but I agree this may be collectively one of the best LSU has had going into a season. Imagine if Frank Wilson was still on the staff.

To your mulligan point, generally people prefer the two best teams play

The 2 best teams DID play that year--> Game of the Century, remember? And LSU won--->AT Alabama, remember? Generally people do not prefer the two *same* teams play... especially from a 6-9 contest when one is the conference champ & the other didn't even win their division. The BCS was supposed to mean "every game counts"... but it didn't.

LSU got a much bigger Mulligan in 2007 t

2011 Bama Mulligan =/= being the best 2 loss team, a division champ, a conference champ, & playing a team in the NCG that wasn't part of the regular season.

Hell a lot of people thought Georgia and USC were the two best teams at the end of 2007. So let's vacate LSUs title. I mean, since the eyeball test was suddenly required to get the "two best teams" in 2011, lets apply it to other seasons and other teams.

In 2006 Michigan was widely regarded as the top team with OSU. So let's vacate Florida's NC.

The only big difference between us and Bama during the Miles and Saban era is our lack of quarterback/balance on offense. Overtime losses, last two minutes losses. They did dominate us twice, but otherwise, with good quarterback play, Les would ha e the better record. Saban is a man, he is not God and LSU is not in decline. The Tide is about to turn.

Exactly! And the BCS was supposed to remove the eyeball test thing but.... well, no one liked that.

Don't take my post out of context. I never claimed Miles didn't have a history of winning. If people are arguing that there is a better recruiting staff out there they're saying it is Bama's.
I'm arguing that LSU's could certainly be better because they have a harder sell (in my mind) and still stay neck and neck with Bama.

Recruits aren't gonna avoid Lsu because we have several losses in a row to a particular school.
