btw, I'm going through the official channels to petition that the toonces head be taken off of our class rings in favor of the "eye" or the old helmet logo. Is anyone else in?

The eye is all over LSU athlete's things such as their booksacks. Why not use that as the logo? Most people associate it with LSU since it is our midfield logo and the transition should be relatively easy because it is already in the stores.

Quit hating on Toonces. The logo is just a font now. What was wrong with the font and toonces? The Florida gator head is cartoonish but that didnt stop them from kicking our arse in football last year or hurt their recruiting.. I don't understand the majority's taste of just the font logo..

It is indeed being phased out, and the logos and marks that were rejected we're even more atrocious, according to a few folks I have spoken to that work for athletics.

Here is what happened... LSU sneaked this in on us early 2000s. It was when we started winning again and people didnt really take notice bc the excitemtn of winning was foremost on LSU fans minds.
