You just mail them whatever you want signed with a letter saying what you want?

Make it easy. Include stamped envelope for return, and a sharpie. I sometimes like to make a frame out of post-its in the section the sig would look best.

With cards I wouldn’t worry so much about a sharpie, but I would if you are sending a mini helmet, or anything that is in a box.

I sent letter to Tommy Banks for autograph.

He sent back note saying I needed to send cookies.

I sent back chocolate chip.

He sends back note saying that he'd prefer oatmeal raisin cookies.

I sent him back my autograph with the note saying, "you need this worse than me."

Some orgs, like Astronauts, have "autosign" mechanisms.

Obviously some big name guys are highly unlikely to return anything just because they are overwhelmed with request.

Worse than autosign would be a stamp.

Dalton Hilliard is a good signer as well, I believe he lives in Destrehan.

I hand wrote a letter to Coach Dietzel about 10 years ago and got a letter back 7 days later. He gave me his home telephone number and said to call him when I was in town and he would meet me and sign a couple of mini- helmets for me that I had requested. I had already got Saban and Miles to previously sign those two helmets. A few months later I called and he met us. Coach Dietzel, my dad, and I visited for a few minutes and we talked about family and our Christian faith. He was an awesome guy and I highly recommend his autobiography - Call me Coach. Has a lot of WW2 stories in there too.

I sent a request to JJ with a return address envelope. Next night, I get home and my house has been robbed of all my shoes.

I didn’t have good luck with Dalton. I sent him two pictures a couple of years apart......he didn’t return either one.

All I need is a autographed Rohan davey and Corey Webster mini helmet

You should have gone to the Varsity when Jacques Doucet and Rohan lip synced.

You would then only need Corey Webster's.

My prized possession right now is Chris Jackson. Tracked down a card signed that way

I did this a while back. It's a fun hobby and always a little rush when you get something back in the mail.

Minor league baseball guys will sign anything. They love the attention.

Never really messed with college players.

MLB guys are hit or miss, but there are some really big names that return.

Never did this but when I was a kid, I absolutely loved to get autographs from football and baseball players after games and collect all sorts of memorabilia.

For my birthday in 2006, we went to church with Stacey Searls and he was able to get a football signed by the entire 2006 team. As a kid, I was super excited and happy to get that as a birthday present and it’s still one of my favorite pieces of memorabilia I have to this day. All kinds of studs signed that football, JaMarcus Russell, Matt Flynn, Laron Landry, Dwayne Bowe, Brandon LaFell, Chevis Jackson, Glenn Dorsey, Jacob Hester, Keiland Williams, Charles Scott, Tyson Jackson, Ali Highsmith, Trindon Holiday, and plenty of others. It was crazy how much talent was on that one team that year.

I honestly think the 2006 team was better than the 2007 team but they just could not execute good enough against Auburn and Florida that year (and yes that Auburn game was rigged and taken away from us by the refs. One of the worst officiated games ever).

Sent a football to LSU in 1997 and got the entire team to sign it.

Off Topic: My mom did this when she was a young girl. Have a bunch of autographed black and white photos from movie stars from the 50s. Really cool.

Yea I really wanted to go but i was in the bed early part of last week sick. I did see a video of Jacques Doucet and Rohan Davey killing it. I was dying laughing when I saw that lol.
