i don't know. bama's super star julio and his side kick didn't put up huge numbers last year.

i really don't care. i see the formula. get a lead, play to your defense and special teams. do enough on offense to win and not turn the ball over.

you play the game to win. this is a very good football team.

Virginia Tech's in 07 was excellent but this talented? Not close. That said, I'll be happy with wins no matter how they come about.

they had a Heisman RB and another furture 1st rd pick behind one of the best OLs in the nation.

you play the game to win.
that works against teams you completely overmatch from a talent standpoint. You really think LSU will continue to win w/ a QB who's lucky to throw for 150 yds and cant keep the defense honest?

i hope we see some more attempted plays downfield in the passing game this week. Jordan played alot better last week they just didn't really ask him to do anything.

yep, sooner or later the O is going to need to make plays, especially through the air. What's going to happen when we're down 10 or 14 and need to mount a comeback?

The WRs aren't getting open. They are underachieving.

i do, this is a young offensive line that will only get better. as it gel's the run game will improve and so will the passing game. i think the offense can be a lot like bama's last year.

Yeah, Jefferson should definitely stop hitting Shepard in the hands.

not difficult to cover when every route is >20 yds, LSU is almost exclusively a horizontal passing team under Crowton and Jordan

like I said, lucky to hit 150 yds if his WRs caught every pass he threw. Jordan was lucky Shep was able to get a finger on his passes in week 2

The WR's talent is overrated based on meaningless star rankings

while they didn't call the pass much, JJ certainly played a role in our lack of downfield passing. He lookes for the safest bet and gets it to them. He left A LOT of receivers open downfield to make the "safer" short pass. You can bet your arse that RR and TT are getting a little fed up with JJ not hitting them downfield when they're open. It's not all play calling that they're waiting for. JJ doesn't throw to make a play. He looks to not make a mistake. We can't keep winning with this formula.

what did j.j. do against bama last year? he out played g.m. i don't know what is going to happen in the future games. we more likely than not will not have the same game plan for bama or florida. you worry about the game you are playing and try to make sure you win that game.

all in all, the entire team is improved. if they take care of business each week, each game, they can go places this year.

florida in 2006 won ugly until the n.c. game against ohio st., ohio st won ugly the year they won it all. bama won ugly a lot last year. tenn, lsu, au come to mind.

will we win the n.c. this year? probably not. not sure many thought we would. however, if the passing game develops, we are one of few teams that can. that says something.

Rueben, Toliver, and Shep aren't extremely talented players now?

I was being sarcastic. I'll admit that WRs didn't do themselves any favors (RS and TT) Sat Night.

One thing I've noticed is that the WRs get so pissy when they make a big play, like "damn, why don't we do this more often"

Don't worry. Mettenberger will be here soon enough. He excels at making it rain.
