One bit he said, " Les Miles needs to pack up the coaching staff and head to New England this summer and learn how to gameplan and coach from the best in Belichek" Thought that was all telling how he feels. There was plenty other stuff that just stood out to me.

And Saban's buddy is just going to share all of his trade secrets with Saban's biggest rival?

See, this almost bothers me more than anything, guys like Williams, Corey Webster, Kevin Mawea....ect, who love the program and want the program to succeed and get on air and just are disgusted with this program and its coaching. It's not just spoiled fans.

How many championships did Williams or Mawae win? Did their teams ever get abused by an opponent?

Les doesn't need Belicheck. He has regular neetings with the spirits of Bo Schembehler and Woody Hayes.

This may be a slight overstatement, don't you think?

That said, he's the best running back in the history of LSU University.

95% of the people on here have never played sports(football especially) and don't know shite about the game.

Such a bullshite, arrogant mentality to have. Many football fans watch multiple games every weekend and have done so for decades. These games come accompanied with analysis and data. If you spend that much time watching and absorbing the game, you are going to pick up enough strategy to at least have an opinion, and that's part of the fun for many fans. If you talk out of your arse and claim to have especially unique insight, that's one thing, but having an opinion on this kind of topic is fair game on a message board or radio show.

Not as much as the fact that none of them have broken into coaching.

To you fools who say game plan didn't matter! bama changed their game plan to attack LSU. Any coach worth his salt attacks an opponent's player and/or scheme to create a mismatch. They just don't line up and say, "we're good enough to dictate our will on the opponent w/o changing a thing." Wake up. Our athletes are just as good as bama's, it's the lack of creativity that kills us against top notch teams. Norte Dame did the same thing against us: Prepared a game plan to attack our weaknesses and executed it.

why did we not try stretch plays, counters

I thought the gameplan was atrocious, but in fairness, we tried to run both of these plays, but neither works when the guard is being driven back 3 yards into the ball carriers lap.

LSU has played with a true sophomore qb the last 2 years. bama has played with a 5th senior the last 2 years. that makes a lot of difference in what you can do offensively.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME A TEAM WON THE SEC WITH WITH A TRUE SOPH AT QB?

HOW MANY TIMES HAS IT HAPPENED IN THE LAST TEN YEARS?

So what? Kirk Herbstreit hasn't broken into coaching, do you think his opinion isn't valid?

ther part he said that I liked was the fact that Alabama team was a reflection of Nick Saban's personality, focused and tough. LSU is like Miles, laid back.

So what were they against ole miss, Tight and unfocused? Is that a reflection of saban also...

LSU looked pretty tough the first 7 weeks. Maybe every Saturday is different, and while it sucks: LSU didn't have a great game and Alabama did.

The game came down to defense IMO. You had a saban protege coaching Chavis size players against a power run team. Key weighs 230 (less than Henry). Coker trucked one of our LBs for crying out loud while Fournette couldn't even move theirs. It's what Chavis wanted, and it worked for him. he bailed now we are recruiting to fix it. When we get some beef in the front 7 the second half of that game will look more like the first half.
Tennessee was in that game only scoring 14, we couldn't stop bama in the second half.

The offensive players knew damned well Les' game plan wasn't going to work. They're not stupid.

I'm considering the fact that LSU wasn't built to make a run this year. Really young defense unproven QB, unproven Receivers.
So this is the excuse to not gameplan for an opponent who is rotating 14 guys on the front 7? This is the excuse to not break tendency and do something the opponent hasn't seen on film? This is the excuse to line up in a formation and have the defense basically calling out your plays?

So when former players like T Bob aren't trashing Les, why do people like you act like their opinions don't matter?

Yall are acting like Harvey Williams opinion on the game is the end all be all.

Your agenda is showing.

Bottom line is Les will have the same game plan before and throughout every game LSU will ever play under him. It's just a matter of if LSU has the better athletes to over power the other team even though they know what's coming. And it works 90% of the time.
The guys on 104.5 ESPN said it looked like LSU didn't scout bama defense at all. We just ran the same shite as we have all year.
