He also (for some reason) try to jam a ball in to Foster Moreau that should have been an interception on our first drive. WTF is Miles' obsession with plays designed to get that stiff the ball?

Agree. That should have been Desean Smith. Why we continue to underutilize him baffles me.

I didn't watch the first half but I was following the box score and Harris was like 8/11 at halftime. why are people saying he struggled? now I did watch the 2nd half and Harris was struggling in the 3rd Quarter.

The long pass to Quinn was his best throw all year.

He missed some throws and sailed an open receiver by about 15 yards

We certainly tried to get him going with some easy passes. He got his mojo back in the late 3rd

He was 8/11 and 103 yards. to me that seems like a good half. guess it was a case where you had to watch the game.

I am very glad to see his stats looking this good. He had a few very bad misses that stick In your mind ...and the announcers harp on every miss, making it seem even worse.

Nice to see that he ended on a high note,...

Great second half, tho
Actually, he had a better first half than second half:

Q1 2 of 3
Q2 6 of 8
H1 8 of 11

Q3 3 of 8
Q4 2 of 3
H2 5 of 11

I'm not saying he played poorly by any means. He did miss Quinn badly on a 3rd and 2 that is a TD with a good throw

We just ran a bunch of quick and easy passes in the first half. He's struggled with those before, but didn't yesterday

I'd say half those completions came at or behind the LoS

Cmon, this is the rant. If any LSU QB isn't 11/11, for 200 yds and 3 td's in the first half, there will be strong criticism on this board.

Ah you're right. Was drinking. But point still stands. He had a really bad spell then righted the ship. Something he hasn't really done all year.

Just broke it down

8/11 for 103 yards

At least 5 of the 8 came around the LoS for 80 yards. 44 came on the screen to LF7.

Missed badly on 2 of the others. Also Drew some PIs though

Was a good game plan, especially with our struggles in pass protection lately

It was a good, not great, night against bad, not good, competition, but it provided lots of reason for optimism.

I think LF7 also had a drop on a screen pass

Yep. The passing game under Les Miles has been unfairly criticized. Everyone would get a break if we started playing like we knew the forward pass had been invented.
