I’m a straight, white male. Despite what people on a certain board would have you think, I have never felt ashamed of who I am or that I was truly oppressed by society for it.
This is a forum for LSU sports and the majority of us here root for not only football, but other teams who student athletes who represent LSU. Many of those come from “minority” groups.
I’d venture to guess that some of them are gay… 1/12 th might be in line with the percentage, never thought about it, so for LSU to acknowledge “pride month” that’s important to them doesn’t bother me. Same with black history month or Hispanic history month.
I don’t feel threatened by it. I simply see it and go on about my day. Same as I would expect someone who is non Christian to feel about a Christmas post.
