Yeah. Still don't believe you. Sounds like a little plop of steaming bird shite to me.

Like I said, I don't care if you believe me or not.

Whatever, Slick. Now you're a BIG Coach O fan.
Right. Sure. Got it. OK

I've stated twice that I support the guy. Go back a few posts and you'll read more about it.
Not sure why you have a problem with this, Slick.

The "slick" thing is hilarious. It really is like dealing with a kid.

He skipped moving the goalpost and went straight to lying. It’s late he had to speed his process up.

I don't care if he believes me or not about going into the locker room. I wasn't trying to brag or anything of the sort. He just happened to make a stupid suggestion to me and I had already done it so I mentioned that. Unfortunately for him, I didn't say what he wished my opinion was so then he just started making lies in a desperate attempt to regain a little bit of dignity since his "suggestion thing" blew up in his face.
The guy is a joke.

You have to understand you being able to go into the locker makes someone like him fuming mad. That’s why he continues to harp on it because it drives people like him crazy that some people do have access and are more intimately acquainted with the program than he’ll ever be.

I learned my lesson a long time ago not to share inside info on this board. It makes some posters furious and they’ll derail the thread because they hate anyone who might know somebody. I’ll send a quick message to some posters I consider friends here if they really want to know something then I’ll erase it immediately so nobody else will see.
Posted on 6/2/19 at 12:37 am to Madking
Oh I'm the same way. The things I mentioned happened but I'm not getting into details how it did. I'm leaving it vague on purpose.
Posted on 6/2/19 at 12:39 am to la_birdman
And it sucks because I know certain people, like you for example, who have some inside info but we can’t talk about it or share it. You don’t have to namedrop because we usually are all hearing the same stuff or close to it but you can’t even mention it without a mess ensuing.
Posted on 6/2/19 at 12:41 am to Madking
Exactly. Not about to mention names. If someone wants to call me a liar, have at it. I couldn't care less.
Posted on 6/2/19 at 12:44 am to la_birdman
Just irks the shite out of me when I see a phony story everyone’s repeating and I just have to keep my mouth shut because I know I’ll be asked to provide proof and I can’t do it without exposing someone I’m friends with or related to.

Go troll some other board.

Wrong.
It isn't as simple as "changing" or "not changing." Changing with no purpose or reason, or understanding WHY you change or how you change is just as meaningless as not changing.
Great leaders understand their resources, can pinpoint inadequacies, and can hypothesize a best way to adjust, maybe not change completely, and find success. And often, with great leaders, they will find that recipe, and find it quickly when they have a full grasp of their resources. This is why every single NC winning coach
in the last 10 years won hardware within 3 years. They knew how to get to that step and beat the teams that they needed to. They understood, even with imperfect resources frequently, how to get the best out of what they had.
Congratulations, this is why pedigree, results, evidence is important, and why it's worrisome that we have not seen O take that step. And that is why the other thread is close to accurate that we will most likely see O's ceiling this year.

Like all of Buckeyes narratives this is completely and totally false. Most of the same basic principles that have always existed in football hold true today and offenses from 30 to 40 years ago are still mainstream today. Football is a very simple game, it’s the physicality, the elite level of skill it takes to execute the game at its highest form, the cohesion between 11 men, the constant adversity and the chess matches between players and coaches that make it such a great drama and make it seem more complicated than it is. The Patriots, the gold standard of innovation and week to week reinvention run a 40 year old offense. The West coast offense and Air Coryell offense were started in the 70s and those two plus the Earhardt/Perkins offense that New England runs are the most prevalent offenses in the NFL and are all 35+ years old or more. As usual Buckeye has no clue what he’s talking about and making stuff up as he goes.

Good Post
This reiterates the same message that myself and numerous other like-minded posters have tirelessly tried conveying to many here. Trying to accomplish this has been extremely difficult and it appears with absolute certainty that it's an unattainable endeavor.
All these coaches in the last decade who have won National Titles in their first 3 seasons have the same thing in common... They're great coaches and program leaders. It's undeniable that every one of these coaches endured many challenges with their programs. They quickly evolved and thrived in a college football environment that's rife with adversity. This is what makes them great coaches.
Orgeron had a better 2018 season and nearly everyone here has said that O did well last season. I'll even go a step further and say that Orgeron is proving to be a good head coach. The problem is that LSU hired O to be better than just a good head coach, they hired him to be a great head coach.
It doesn't take a great head coach more than 3 years at a place like LSU to "put their stamp" on the program. Orgeron hasn't done this yet and the time is ticking for him to take the leap from good to great head coach.

Yea I think that’s best, the guy seems like a kid trying to prove something. No grownup would make these outrageous and over the top claims over and over again or react the way he does to contrary facts or questions. I’m as big a joe Burrow fan as you’ll find but I know what he is and what he isn’t relative to NFL projections and so forth and I don’t believe any adult who follows football, even the biggest Burrow fan, would make the claims he’s making.
