Our DL returns the Top 4 DTs, 3/4 DEs, and is one of the best in the nation. Sorry, but DT or DE ain't an issue.

Weakness? Give me a break.

Ever LB worth a damn returns....including the guys who were starting at years end and their backups. This is among the best LB units in the nation and certainly the best in the SEC. What the frick makes you think it's a weakness? Are you on crack?

3) Your CBs weren't that good last year. You had better hope they improve. You keep talking big shite about shutting down Hatch, but your secondary isn't all that great. Can they keep up with our top 3 receivers Byrd (BEST IN THE SEC), LaFell, and Toliver? I doubt it. Furthermore, who exactly is going to match up with Richard Dickson at TE (our leading receiver last year)???

Finally a reasonable post about our defense. Our Secondary is the only "weakness" on the D..and they are better than most you'll face.

Heck, I don't know why a Jailga fan is talking bad about committees...not long ago Georgia had Brown, Lumpkin and Ware all sharing the rock.

We had a RB by "commitee" last year..Brown with 150+ carries, Moreno with 200+

That's what "splitting time" looks like not 220 - 70.

Hester was better at certain things than the others.....specifically he was the best at making reads in the offense.

How much of that had to do with the fact that he was the oldest and had the most experience?

The other 4 guys now have an extra year of experience, a whole year working with GC and three with RB coach Porter.

Furthermore, the oline is as good as any I can remember and that includes the 2003 line. The RBs should have it relatively EASY this year.

Ask Sooner fans how that "commitee" worked on their asses. They suck though since they share carries.

Still not as good as ours. Which will wreck more havoc on your noob dominated OL than yours will on our veteran OL.

WRONG. He got the majority of the carries because Miles plays to the upper classmen and Hester was the most experienced and turned out to be reliable and tough. To think he's better than Williams or Scott is not very smart. They both averaged a bit higher yards per carry than Hester did last year.

People tend to average more per carrie when they aren't carrying the ball on short yardage situations. You've already admitted your best short yardage guy left.

Why all the disrespect for Hester from LSU fans? He was obviously the best player on your offense last year.

Moreno = 248
Brown = 148

Just imagine that instead of Brown, we had 3 or 4 guys that split those carries. Anyways, in our system more backs is a good thing because Crowton's whole aim is to confuse the defense with multiple looks and players with different capabilities.

Certianly NOT the best in the SEC when Florida and South Carolina's (with Jasper back) is around.

Except we replaced JUST 1 other guy with 4 guys. Not difficult to figure out.

Williams, Scott, Murphy and Holliday combined to have 203 carries last year.

The outside LBs are young, though.

Nobodies disrespecting him by telling the truth. Simply put he's not as talented as Williams or Scott. He got the bulk of the tough carries last year because he was the most experienced and was reliable. It's not like Williams, Scott, Holliday or Murphy disappointed when they carried the rock (all averaged over 6 yards a carry). The big difference between Hester and those other guys is Hester couldn't ever break the big play like those guys can (sans LA Tech game).

I never said Hester carried the ball on ALL short yardage situations, I just said he got the majority of them. Williams and Scott had their fair share of carries all around last year. ALONE they combined for 14 TD on offense on the "limited" action they saw. Last I checked that's as many TDs as Moreno had last year on offense.

Marcus did great last year. Now ask yourself, who the frick was Marcus Howard prior to 2007? NOBODY that's who.

We've had some pretty damned good DEs in recent years (Charles Grant, David Pollack, Q Moses, Charles Johnson, Marcus Howard)...the one consistent thing THEIR COACH. I can say without a doubt that our starting DEs are just fine.

Lomax replaces Howard: Senior DE who hasn't played much but has been productive when he did (4.5 sacks last year).

FWIW, "enior DE who hasn't played much but has been productive when he did" is Marcus Howards bio prior to 2007.

Curran is a weakness? Curran is a freakin stud. Ask AU or UF about him. Dude started 5 or so games and had 40+ tackles.

The other OLB is Dent. He started 5 games and had 36 tackles.

Our LBs are not a "weakness".

UGA will be lucky to come out of the regular season with a 10-2 record.
